Default Corksport BPV

Just writing to ask those of you who have installed a corksport bpv, have you guys had any problems with the valve?
My story is this, I had to take apart my bpv because of 2 things, first, it needed maintenance because it has been more than 6 months since the last maintenance and cs recommends every 6 months inspection and so forth. Second, a few screws from the top cover are damage and I can't take apart the valve so in order to deal with these 2 problems I decided to take out and install back oem bpv. After installing the oem bpv, I took my car for a drive just to see everything was working fine and I noticed my car so different, more power, I could feel the car pulling harder and wheels going crazy.
I'm like what is this? with the cs bpv, the car is suppose to run better than oem.
I read a review on the cs site about a guy's spring was broken inside the valve. Since I can't get it apart, I'm still yet to find out if anything else is worng. I'm also having my doubts that the valve is leaking although i'll be performing a boost leak test on Tuesday.
Anybody has com across with something like this???

Just sounds like yours is damaged to me. Are you hitting your boost targets in your data logs?

I'm running one, and it's been fine. But, I guess I haven't compared it to another bpv in a long time. I may throw the stocker back in too temporarily, just to see how it feels.

The spring inside my CS BPV broke after owning it for a year, it was purchased used from someone on here, no idea how long they had it. I hit up CS, they replaced the spring for me for free, and haven't had a problem since.

I also replaced the screws on top with stainless screws, just because.

I only noticed minor weird issues above 22psi on the S3, and decided to check it. Spring was was still "together" inside, still holding boost decently, but broken into 3 pieces when I turned it upside down and let it fall out.

I have serviced mine religiously. Went to clean and lube the valve today and found my spring broken in half. Hoping I can get a replacement quickly.

Havn't had mine on for more than a summer but it was definetly more efficient than the stock BPV, I did have a sealing problem but that was due to the previous owner stripping the threads I agree I hope this is resolved!

I wonder if that's the reason they released a new kind of BPV. Hopefully nothing in that one will break, as I'll be buying that once the motor is together.

I'm also going to do maintenance on mine.

My stock BPV couldn't hold more that 18psi of boost without leaking.

I had purchased a fake HKS for $120, it had everything need to do recic, but after I set everything up and closed the hood the nipple didn't clear the hood intake so it broke off and I had to return it.

I got the CS because it was the cheapest real BPV option and also because of it's fast recirculating. I was able to run almost 21psi thanks to it.

Not the first time i've heard of this.

I had two holes strip out upon first disassembly. I found those short bolts to have very little thread engagement. I wasn't impressed. I ended up tapping all the holes out slightly and replacing the hardware with longer M4-0.7 x 12mm socket cap screws.

What were the symptoms of the stocker not holding? Anything other than viewing datalogs?

Well, I just ever made anywhere close to my target boost levels, even load(since I load tune).
The car just never made the power that I tuned it for. I thought I had a boost leak... well technically the BPV was leaking boost but since it recirculates, it doesn't screw over the AFR, so the ECU doesn't see anything wrong I guess. That's why your not really going to get any messed up symptoms. If you had VTA BOV, you would definately run really reach during WOT and not just while coming off the throttle.

Awesome thank you. Looks like I will be getting some rice for a Christmas present. Tuner said I might have a boost leak. Found one and tapped the threads of the nozzle on my TIP. Still was there. Funny though through my searching I seems like the stock one holds well up to 22psi

Yeah, it's pretty mixed. Some people say the stock valve doesn't need to be replaced and you are a ricer if you do. However some people say the stock valve leaks. There is actually a thread around here I read some time ago that supposedly says the stock valve is "designed" to leak above a certain boost pressure. That same thread showed how to modify the stock BPV to make it hold more boost by closing of the small hole on the bottom with something, I don't know if it was epoxy.

All I know is that my valve was limiting my power without a doubt, because as soon as I swapped in the CS, it was boosting around 19psi and even spiked at 22psi. My stock valve never even spiked near that.
