Default Ecbs and 3 bar on KO4

*EBCS

First I did search and could not find any specific threads pertaining to this, if anyone can find a thread please share.

Back story is I was planning on going BT in the future gathering all the parts, I have everything BNR S4, 3 bar map, 3 port ebcs and I was going to do downpipe at the same time. But life has changed for me, have a baby on the way and moved from a house to condo with no garage space to work and the MS3 is going back into DD service, I was driving a pick up as a DD but that is being sold. My question is BNR and downpipe are going to be sold (going back to VIP soon, so look out for those soon) but was curious if throwing the ebcs and 3 bar in will benefit the KO4 at all? I figure I already have them and all I would need to pay for will be for a retune.

Without going BT I just want to squeeze all I can out of the KO4, mods are htp 3" intake, race pipe, fmic, internals of course and tuned threw stratified. So should I keep the 3 bar and ebcs or just sell it all? Worth the trouble of retune and installing? Thanks for the input in advance

No, you wont see a benefit from installing the 3 port EBCS and 3 BAR. The 3 Bar is for boosting over 22 psi. On the K04 anything over 20psi will most likely be pushing the turbo out of its efficiency range and wont do you anything good besides build heat. That heat will over time lead to its earlier demise.

18-19psi max I say. Add meth and you can get a bit more. But doesn't sound like that's the route your taking.

Install the DP, get a custom E-tune, and enjoy.

Unfortunately DP has to go too, living in Cali and smog nazis I don't want the hassle every 2 years when smog comes around. There is some E85 near me so I just might get an alternate tune for that and 91.

Cool man. I'll tell you though, the DP makes a big difference. Turbos like to breathe. My smog shop doesn't even look at my DP. I say install it right after your next smog.

I could probably find a place that would let it fly, I did get a catted one and heat wrapped it to disguise it, but just don't want to take the chance. Finding a place to swap it out if need be would be a headache. Next smog is next year.
