Default Sure Aeros 3 full intake

I just ordered the Sure Aeros 3 full intake and am wondering what people think about it. I was going to buy the Sri and tip seperately, but when I saw the single unit, I figured it would leave less room for connection issues. This will be my first mod with a rmm and AP coming soon after.

You can't install the 3" intake without a tune so you will have to wait for the AP and tune for the 3" intake. The stock intake is 2.63" and you need to adjust the MAF table in the ECU to account for the much larger MAF diameter (3").

Aside from that it is a nice piece and flows much better than stock or a stock sized 2 piece system.

Then there must have been some misunderstanding between them and I because I was under the impression that no tweak would be needed....looks like that AP will be coming sooner that I thought.

Yes, you will definitely need to tune for the 3" Aeros. The standard Aeros is the one that doesn't need a tune.

How do you adjust the MAF table with the AP? That doesn't happen automatically when you run an OTS map from Cobb that's made for the CS intake? (specifically what's on my car.) I'm told I need to recalibrate my MAF sensor. I'm not sure how to do that.

There is a full intake with standard housing (no tune needed) and a full intale with 3" housing, that does need a tune.

the full intake systems take the name Full3, however there have different MAF options.

Doh, the naming is getting confusing. So can you have a 3 inch intake with a stock MAF housing?

Lex, I had this conversation with Mark last week and I understand it as the Full3 is the name of the 1 piece 3" intake. You can order it with either a stock diameter MAF housing or a 3" MAF housing.

This is correct!

No battery relocation needed for our larger intakes.

The OTS tune and Intake will really bring the stock fuel pump that close to its limit? That's disheartening. Looks like the incremental upgrade plan may be in jeopardy lol.

I would say you should have followed the mod path but... I didn't..

But, it's different for eery Car, when I flashed my ots state 1, after the Breslin and monitoring my fp was fine(1650-1760s)... I did 6 3rd gear logs, and told my self one cell under 1600psi I'll get internals....

Well, I hit 1 cell and bought my fp, it's Summer, come winter my fp would of been taxed. now I'm at 1800psi and in the process of being e-tuned

Battery relocation isn't the issue, it's the ECU being in the way.

I am also planning on getting the full intake with the 3 inch maf. I currently have the standard aeros, AP, and internals.

Is there any ots maps for this 3 maf or will I need a custom tune? I saw some people say just change the setting in atr for 3". Is there any how to's on this?

Directly stated on SURE's website:

Our Full3 Aeros ID300 Intake System is configured with a 3.00″ Aeros MAF Housing for maximized airflow using the factory turbo. This system will require tuning.

The OD of CP-E's intakes are 3". The "Standard Issue" Aeros will not fit.

And CP-E's TIP is called Nviscid.

The only problem I have is I am a complete noob when it comes to tuning. I honestly have no idea how to do it and I have been reading posts and looking at threads on how to do maf calculations and adjustments. But is all that necessary when going to a bigger MAF housing?

I just need to learn more about adjusting it myself before I upgrade.

Yes. We have a lot of tuners here on the forum. Contact one of them if you're interested. There should be a section with all the different tuning companies.

I know I am resurrecting an old thread but I don't feel the question has been answered.

I know the Aeros full3 with 3" MAF has no OTS map.

What was not addressed was the Aeros full3" with standard MAF housing.

I want to somewhat take advantage of the intake until my LEX tune. Would I run the Cobbs Sure SRI TIH V2 map? I assume its close enough.

Thanks in advance.

PS I found this thread via search. Please no rage about the necropost

You can use the ots, but copy and paste the 3 inch Maf Cal from the stratified vendor section, that should get you through until you get tuned.

This is where most of the confusion comes in. The Aeros Full 3" is a 3" intake and inlet hose with a standard dia MAF housing. So no adjustment needs to be made as far as scaling the tables.

There is another version of the Aeros that has the 3" Dia MAF housing. The reason why I like this intake is because I only need to by the 3" MAF housing when I am ready for it, otherwise stick with the stock Dia for easy of tuning (such as the OTS map)

I misread your post. With the stock MAF diameter, you should be able to run the Sure V2 OTS without issue. LTFT's may be a little off, but you should be fine until you are tuned.

I just installed a Aeros 3in intake with stock size MAF housing. I am using the OTS map for sure intake v2 with upgraded TIP and I have no issues. I haven't done any data logging on my fuel pressure yet, but watching live data it seems to be ok around 1650-1700psi during WOT. The car pulls very strong compared to stock I cant wait to see what a custom tune will do.

... there's no point in getting a larger intake if you are going to run a smaller MAF housing

Which sadly is already an issue with the ID300
