| Not Ranked : 0 score What are the specifications on the thing? Never heard of them. It appears to be a K04 turbo snail rebuilt with unknown components of unknown brands with no information about flow rate or whether it would require a custom tune. There are a number of tried and true replacement and upgrade turbos available from trusted sources. What kind of “upgrade” are you seeking and your goals for the turbo?

| Not Ranked : 0 score I saw that. It says nothing about the internal parts used, whose CHRA is in there, whether they modified the journals to prevent OEM K04 bearing seal failure or whether it is comparable with OEM tune or requires aftermarket tuning to keep your engine from blowing up.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Looks like an upgraded/ported K04 similar to the one Kinugawa has. I wouldn't surprised if they sourced the compressor wheel from them. I see they clipped turbine for better flow. It doesn't look bad... It's kinda nice if you want the sleeper look but longevity is uncertain.

| Not Ranked : 0 score That turbo will require a tune. It is not intended to run on stock ECU map. You had better get with a good etuner here and have him on board on the front end. What other mods do you have now? Do you want a drop in replacement, plug and play, no required tuning because your K04 is bad? There are straight forward simple rebuilt K04s from various sources. They will probably smoke eventually. There is a really good alternative from BNR, their S1. It keeps the stock snail and all fittings, but is internally modified to use the much beefier CHRA from a Garrett GT 28 series with compressor and turbine wheels that duplicate the flow of the stock K04, so no special tuning is required and it will work with any aftermarket tuning intended for the stock K04. It will be friendly to all aftermarket power mods intended to work with the stock turbo. It was my solution and with my mods produced a reliable 300-310 whp on pump gas. It costs more than what you are looking at, but will solve the K04 problems permanently. If you are seeking more power there are reliable, proven alternatives. BNR’s S3 and Cork Sport’s CST4 come to mind. They require tuning and upgraded fuel pump internals and usually run best with aftermarket 3” downpipes and racepipe.

| Not Ranked : 0 score if you look for more power, go with a well known turbo from the beginning, you will get satisfied. the Kinugawa as stated seem the same without the yellow paint.... Moving from 56 to 60mm won't make an astonishing upgrade especially with the oem housing AR....(CST4 seem 68mm exducer and BRN S3 is 71mm...) Just think about were you want to go and how much money you plan to spend. You cannot just install this and wait to go further. Once you go BT there is minimum upgrades needed for preparation and once you get them, why not buying first, the turbo you will want after running into the BT journey...
