(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I just got my car back a week or two ago from an inspection / alignment. I didn't notice the issue before then. Not sure they're related but throwing it out there.... I've had a metal rattle / clang that I've been hearing when I go over bumps. Not every bump, not constantly, but every once in a while. Over the course of an hour long commute it gets old. I checked my lug nuts and they're tight. I checked the rear calipers and they still have their anti-rattle clips. Brakes weren't touched at all so I don't have reason to suspect it's the pads coming loose / calipers / rotors. Sound seems to be coming from the rear passenger side. I lifted the rear and started poking around. When I hit the lower control arm right under the spring I can replicate the rattle. End links, sway bar, and related bushings look fine. Would a bad control arm bushing cause this? I attached a picture (not my car) to show the area and direction in which I was hitting / applying force to get a rattle. It's a LOT louder when driving obviously, but I get a metallic ringing / rattle when I hit here. Thanks

| Not Ranked : 0 score Usually this is your RSB end links, are you sure they are tight? Like tight as a 1 year old?? I've never heard of the lower control arm bushing rattling Sway bar brackets - Annoying Ass Rear Rattle Broken/Damaged springs - Mysterious rattle from driver side rear solved. Rear End Clunk. Ripping my hair out.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'll check the RSB end links when I can. I guess the spring is easy enough to check too. Had no idea our cars were "prone" to springs falling apart. I've had the car for 133K miles and besides the clutch it's been nothing but routine maintenance. The shocks and struts were replaced about a year and a half ago but the noise is newer than that so I'm thinking they're ok.
