I got my car back today from Ground Control god it is nice. It has a firm ride the way I like it and plenty of travel. the coils are set right now about mid way on the perches so about an inch and a half drop right now. It looks so much better now I am very happy with the out come. The koni shocks do help a lot with the comfort when you go to a stiffer spring combo. Here are some pictures of before and after.

After

Front Before and after

Rears before and after

and here is a shot of the front spring and perch

Well what do you guys think?

Yes they are. They are still developing the camber plates one set for street use that will be just for adjusting the camber and one race set for adjusting camber and caster. they explained to me that the street plates will basically have different holes that you move the mount to to adjust the camber. when i get them installed in about a month or two I will post pics.

Thankx I really enjoy the drop they said that I have about another inch or so to go lower if i would like. And a coil over conversion basically replaces the springs with their spring and adjustable perch setup. and the adjustable perch gives you your height adjustment.

They are if you have adjustable struts and shocks with the coil overs. They will be developing the camber plates as well to give you full adjustability like a full coil over set for example Tein.

yes you can use them with bilsteins and they come with eibach race springs in a variety of spring rate depending on what your use will be. i.e. track, autocross/ daily or just comfort daily. you just have to tell them what you plan on doing with the car and they can set you up with the right set for you.

Well that blows. I just dropped my money on Swift's because GC wouldn't return my emails asking them if they had anything in the works.

I think it should but I would give them a call and to make sure. the basic kit is essentially a spring replacement with a perch built in and the koni's might be a different part number but i am not sure for the gen one's.

That sucks, I have not had any luck with the online emails form that they have I always end up having to call.

True but I believe these use standard race springs so you could match the springs much better to the valving. That and the springs are like 60 bucks a pop cheap enough to experiment with.

That sucks, I have not had any luck with the online emails form that they have I always end up having to call.
Well... Just because I purchased the Koni/Swift combo doesn't mean they have to be installed.

My question would be whether or not they're taking an OTS Koni and revalving it for the springs they're already using or offering. If you change spring rates more than a few pounds in either direction, the shocks need revalved. [Also, I would want a bilstein, not a koni. Just my personal preference.]

Edit: you don't match springs to valving, you match the valving to the springs.

the shocks and struts on my car are off the shelf koni yellows but with that being said they do have their own valving that koni does for them as well. And they are better at controlling higher spring rates. the up side to koni is that they are adjustable and they tried from what they told me about 20 different sets of springs on the car to see what would work well my setup currently is a stiffer autocross setup and the dampeners work well at controlling the springs from what i can feel.

Do you know the Koni part number for the strut housings they are using? That alignment tab at the bottom isn't going to fasten to the knuckle the same way as the stock-replacement Koni Sports.

EDIT: I was just looking at the photo and thinking about it more. What I thought was the alignment tab in that photo is actually probably the bracket for the brake line. The actual alignment tab is probably out of view, in contact with the floor in that photo. Still curious of which strut body they are using though.

I was actually doing some work with autocross times last night, lol. I was seeing if I really wanted to change classes based on my times from the past year compared to the class I want to run in (ESP, and yes I do). While doing that, I thought it would be fun to see how consistent I, and other drivers were.

The std deviation of my times over the last 10 events is .61s...and since I've been running Rivals, that stddev has dropped to .47s (both are more consistent than the majority of autocrossers on the same courses). If adjusting the valving on shocks gains or loses <.47s for me, I'll never know that they were the cause of my gain or loss of time. I've had adjustable Koni's on other cars I've autocrossed, and I can tell you that I have no idea what setting was best, lol. It takes some serious commitment to actually analyze that, and the only place I can do that is autocross events. It would take the average person too long to actually dial them in, and I would bet the average person never will get them dialed in.

The are the 8741 1490LSport, 8741 1490RSport, and 8040 1353Sport the fronts have had the spring seats removed for more adjustability for the treaded base.

Just picked up a set of koni's in the for sale section in anticipation of these being available now. Always like this setup for a daily/autocross/pdx car as it works really well and you wont break the bank

Huh... Ground Control seems to have deleted the post on Facebook. I asked them twice about these on that specific post and they did not respond. My last post said, "Crickets..." That was a few days ago and now it's gone.

What up GC?
@Bap; DO you know anything more about this kit? Thanks!
