Miss match front strut question

Good day good people.

this is like my second post EVER but i come to this forum a lot reading all of the old post, how too's and what not. But recently Something happened and I wanted the opinion of this fine community.

So, i purchased from tunersport a complete set of koni str.t struts that came with eibach springs. So i get the box and take it to my local car guy to have them placed on my speed 3 2010 blue road runner. I get a call while im in class from my mechanic and he says that there is a miss match with the front strut???

after class, i hustled to the shop and low and behold, i definitely have a miss match front pair. So:

on the rear i have the Koni str.t orange

and on the front, i have 1 Koni str.t orange and 1 Koni Sport yellow...

Initially, I was like well i need to exchange them them and get the other orange one...honestly, its kinda of a hassel right now, im a student studying engineering, im leaving for a conference in like 2 days for a week. then when i get back all school hell will break loose.

my question is simply: Can i put the koni yellow and the koni orange on the front and just have this Frankenstein suspension without damaging my car?

Hope you didn't get these installed. Mismatched front shocks will cause your car to pull under braking and probably on the highway as well. It's a big no-no.

i agree with the above, you should always use suspension parts as a set or at least as a pair.
Yellow use an adjustable valve and i think the orange didn't...

IT would be like driving with a winter 15'' tire on one side and a Z rated 18inch on the other side....you can reach destination but you better keep the oem than swaping for unbalanced one....And if you mount the yellow, it will be harder to get replacement later...

Guys, it has been a month since his post. He has came and went from that engineering conference. He must have it sorted out by now.

You'd think being an engineering student he would've thought about it and then decided not to install it, contact the distributor and get the correct one sent out. By the time he gets back he'd have the new part.
