| Not Ranked : 0 score I consistently find OEM parts cheaper with this place. If Onlinemazdaparts adds shipping (which I can't determine unless I do a full checkout) this'll save you ~$10 bucks.

| If you can't find the part @ tascaparts, you can always go to mazda-parts.com too. They're frequently a bit cheaper than onlinemazdaparts, or jimellismazdaparts.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I pulled 3 bolts from it. Didn't see one by the egr. I will try to find it and take a couple more pics before I bolt everything back together tomorrow. If I did miss that bolt then I guess cutting it isn't that big of a deal as I can just bolt a new one in at a later date. Need this car on the road as it is my daily. | Not Ranked : 0 score Was getting a whiff of fuel after going wot recently. Saw this thread and glad I checked. My hard line is leaking at the fuel rail side but only when the pressure goes up. There was residue of evaporated fuel all over it. This is a scary issue to have.

For the last month i've noticed the faint aroma of gas when poking around under the hood. I finally decided to investigate a little more thoroughly, and, sure enough, the hard line is wet with fuel. My leak appears to be more towards the hpfp end of things. Awesome. EDIT: Best price I found was $77.53 shipped from Tasca. http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-mazda/l...r=L3K9-13-290A I used this coupon code to knock 20% off of domestic shipping: S197 Last edited by frothy; 10-10-2014 at 04:42 AM. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Last week while at the track I pulled into the garages after a 15 minute session and when I got out of the car I could smell fuel. Being paranoid as I've had a few things fail on this car already I popped the hood and had a look. Straight away I could see fuel was spraying from the fuel hard line near the fuel rail. I count myself very lucky that my car didn't erupt into a fire ball while out on the track. The failure point was where the pipe is braized/welded to the fuel rail fitting.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Went to leave for a dentist appt yesterday from work and car would not start, figured the battery was low so tried a few times and it finally turned over... decided to check on the engine bay in case my new battery was leaking or something and FUUUU fuel fountain off the rail connection of the line. Turn off car. SHIT! 30 miles from home, call the dealer and they are booked up solid until next week. Call for a tow, send it to some random shop that can fit me in, fingers crossed, only car, DD and no shop at hand to work on it. Somehow the two bolts that hold the brackets on the car are missing according to the shop. TLDR: I didn't catch on fire and am out $800 with the tow and all and no car for days while the line gets delivered.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Reviving the thread as this happened to me this weekend. Faint smell of fuel over the HPFP, ripped the engine bay apart, found nothing wet. Reinstalled everything and read this thread while investigating. Mine was spraying a fine mist of fuel at the same bend in the line and took me a while to find/recognize. I only saw it as the light of the flashlight made a prism effect and the colors caught my eye, else I would never have seen the fuel coming out of the crack. No static leak at all and the fuel mist never collected or pooled. Took the car to Mazda here and it is replaced under my extended warranty. Was kicking myself for 6 years after buying an extended warranty, and now it has more than paid for itself as this is the second time I've used it. From what I can see of the crack, it's material failure in nature, and by the molecular-like jagged fault line it appears to be from hoop stress during normal heat cycles. Hope this helps the next person that smells a faint fuel odor, especially during engine start.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Sounds like a fatigue failure. I do the fatigue calculations for DI components, including the high pressure line. Fatigue failures will follow the path of the weakest part of the metallic structure.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Well my fuel line decided to shit the bed again this morning (same exact spot). Corksport has a new one that they are offering in 6 days, but I need one now. I am almost tempted to borrow a car for a week so I can install something that won't need replacing again. |
