Fuel Pump Leak - 2010 MS3
 

Hello all, first time poster, I've read through the forums a bit in the past when I got my 2010 MazdaSpeed3, but now posting because I need help troubleshooting correct course of action.

I had a fuel smell for quite some time, had a leak on my gas tank, which appeared to be coming from the top and checked the fuel pump underneath the rear seats, sure enough, its leaking from the in line, now is there a way to reseal the end, replace oring/snapring? or do I have to replace the whole fuel line? it appears to be seeping from here, and when I went to wiggle the line, it was squirting fuel out, is there a fuel cutoff? or will it just leak fuel until the line is dry from moving it? If I take the end off? how much fuel will spill?

Hate to restart an older thread but i'm having the same issue on my 2013speed. My fuel is spraying from the connector hose (the green clip) which i replaced and the leak is even worse now. I'm thinking its the ITFP housing that is leaking? Did you ever get this issue resolved? Not sure i want to spend a weekend dropping the tank or cutting open the backseat access hole.

OP made one post, got no response and left two years ago. You might try to PM him, but given his lack of activity, chances are slim.

Maybe start a new thread and hang around long enough to give people a chance to see it and reply?

lol, apparently im still connected to these forums, I just got email notification...
there was a hairline crack on the top of the fuel pump assembly, specifically the fuel line spigot/L-connector on top of the housing had a crack. Fuel line was fine, I didn't have to buy a new fuel pump assembly, was able to purchase just the top housing separately from local mazda dealership, but unfortunately, you have to drop the tank to get to it
