(Thread Starter) | Neutral : +2 score Discuss! 6/27/14 Hey guys here's the long awaited update. The crash bar for the GEN 2 is done and out for manufacturing. I suspect it will be about 4-5 weeks until that is ready. The piping kit for the GEN 2 has also completed the design stage. About 85% of the kit will be silicone. There will be a blow through option as well. I have not decided if colors will be an option or not. I will most likely offer the cross over pipe on top in colors. That decision will be made next week when the drawings go off for manufacturing. Pricing has not yet been finalized but as always it will be where you expect it to be from JBR. I have not included all the pictures because, there are a lot of eyes on what we're doing and you'll just have to wait to see the final product. It's slick. I apologies for how behind schedule we are. I think it'll be well worth the wait. Thanks, Jamie Last edited by JBR; 06-27-2014 at 06:46 AM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Awesome - especially since I was thinking to install a FMIC later this spring or summer. No preference on core - I'll let the more knowledgeable people chime in on that. If this was at least partially silicone, would you offer your standard 4 color options or would it be one color fits all? Thanks JBR! PS I received my order from you a week or two ago (Stage 2 intake, boost tubes & recirc tube.) Can't wait to install on Saturday |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Provided the end tanks are 2.5" wouldn't it be flexible enough to accommodate just about any of them? I'm a fan of UR quality and their crash bar. I've linked them to this thread hoping they'll contact you or vice versa so you can make the best possible FMIC kit. I'd rather not hack up my crash bar for a TR8, but if that is the consensus, it's a decent choice as well. It's either a cut off wheel and a bunch of grinding or $149 for a bolt on solution.

| Not Ranked : 0 score He's not making a FMIC kit... He's providing proper fitting piping. Also, there is no requirement to cut the crashbar on the 3 with a TR8 or similar. At least on the GEN Win anyway. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score From the other threads it appears the TR8 is better at cooling but has more of a pressure loss than the TR8L, so if the great majority are still on K04/BNR/GTX2867 and stock block HP ranges, the TR8 would be the better mass market choice.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just wondering is this really going to be silicone? If so, will you be only providing a 2 piece silicone kit? Meaning, we source our own hotpipe that goes over the valve cover and connects to your hot side silicone piece by the dip stick and then we source our own cold pipe that connects to the TB from your silicone cold side? Or a complete piping kit? I'd go TR8 for my moderate goals. How will you build your rig? Cut the crash bar and mount the core so we don't have to trim the undertray and no bulging of the bottom of the core?

If Jamie is making the aluminum piping as well, I can see why he just wants us to choose a core. Either way I don't give a shit, this is going on my car in some capacity or other.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The cobb core is: 24" x 6.5" x 3.5" bar and plate core. And that requires gen2's to trim the underpan. TR6 = 22" X 6" X 3.5" (400HP) TR8 = 22" X 7.8" X 3.5" (500HP) |

So if you make it for the TR8 it should fit ANY of the treadstone cores. On a side note even if the kit fits a certain intercooler, nothing some shorter and or longer silicone couplers wont fix. This would be awesome! I would replace my 80 lbs UR piping kit lol You should also give an option for BOV/BPV flange if possible.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Trimming the front undertray in necessary with the cobb kit and may be necessary with the CPe if I remember correctly. Trimming only requires taking, in my opinion, some really unnecessary plastic off of it. Pull out the dremel, go to town, put the undertray back on and it looks like you didn't do a thing. +1 TR8 Also, @jbarone;, this has been a long time coming. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

| Not Ranked : 0 score @jbarone; I know a while back when I put together my kit, the TR8L was basically on infinite back order. I dont know if treadstone finally caught up, but it may be something to consider. Making a kit for an intercooler that no one can get their hands on may not sell to well. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have seen a lot of piping kits that don't fit well, rub on frames or themselves, and are not braced properly. Jamie, a great fitting piping kit will be an asset here and the TR8 will be the most popular size for the Gen1. The gen2 will need something shorter in terms of a core to make it fit.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I would be curious about routing. I know I have the PG kit with a TR8L and I hate how it goes over the engine and off to the passenger side. I much prefer the cobb method of going down the drivers side. But it cost too much for me to make the switch. I would possibly switch if the price was right for a JBR routed that way.

| Not Ranked : 0 score @jbarone; , ready to get whatever core you decide to make this kit for. Tr8s definately seem to be a big hit and have always seen nothing but good things. However if it fits my current JBR/COBB core, I won't complain . Reguardless you have my full interest, would prefer the hotside run down on the PS, I hate how jammed up everything Is on the COBB piping, may just be the fact that I have the V1 kit. As well as a fixed fitting or bend on the hotside pipe to turbo, Iv had a hell of a time finding a 2x2.5 coupler that fits tht area both height and length to reach that pipe and still utilize the old TMIC mounting location.
