I have the ability to clearance the existing cross member or fab a new piece similar to what UR offers so I could care less.
Whats the dimensions of the COBB core? because that looks pretty damn close to the COBB core.

The Gen PU won't take a TR8 without cutting but the overal length of the TR6 is the same as the TR8 so since this is just a piping kit, you can leave the core choice between the two up to the end user.

TR8 - 7.8" X 22" X 3.5"
TR6 - 6" X 22" X 3.5"

Now how long until you can take my money?

I'm grateful for all the information in this thread. Keep it coming and pictures too please. I have some unique ideas I want to incorporate as well that I will share as I progress.

I will speak with Treadstone and get a TR6 and a TR8 on the road to us Monday. JBR owns the cars needed to get this rolling so I will begin as soon as possible. What's important to understand is that this will not be ready for market in weeks. I see this taking a minimum of 3 months. This was on our bucket list for 2014 so I can say with confidence it will happen. Maybe a crash bar too.

I will give infinite handjobs to the vendor who can make a blow-thru conversion piping kit! Would be awesome if you guys could incorporate a design that easily allows this.

I called treadstone to get a TR8 for my car. For my eventual retro fit FMIC. In hopes of maybe setting up a group by or something like that. Because I am sure many people are going to want their BA cores

When it's light out tomorrow I'll take some pictures of where my CX kit rubs against your shifter weight and the runner on the intake manifold. I think the CX routing is superior to routing it all by the intake and with some careful bends in the piping, the problem spots could be avoided.

Well since its just a piping kit, and you hinted you may or may not do a crash bar, id say, the tr6 you dont have to cut the stock Pu crash bar, I had to cut my Pu bar for a tr8, and you definately would for the tr10, and theyre all the same width just differemt heights. Make the alleged possible crash bar able to fit the tr10for those people with unrealistic power goals.. lol. Also, id buy this shit in a heartbeat. In wrinkle red cause I wanna be like the subaru guys... lol

@jbarone; I know you said you would have the 6 & 8 cores on the way but I do agree with making the kit accommodate the 8L. Same dimensions as the 8 but just an added 2 inches overall length. The dimensions of the 8L are basically identical to the Cobb core. An extra inch on the pipe/core coupler on both sides doesn't seem unrealistic to fit the 8 but still allow room in the hard pipes to fit the 8L. Just my .02

Just tappa it in.

Also as a point to mention, I know they are a bit more expensive but T-bolt clamps are so much better than worm clamps.

Also try and get metric ones (M10 socket/wrench) I have a hodge podge of metric and standard T-bolt clamps and I hate it.

+1 for T-bolt clamps for sure.

I'm so excited for this...it was going to be a few months before I go FMIC anyway. You rock @jbarone;.

Ok so here is my cx racing kit on a gen 1 speed 3. You can see that the hot pipe runs against the runner on the manifold. Ignore the duct tape lol. It's keeping a piece of rubber hose in place which is keeping the pipe from puncturing. You can also see where your shift weight hits the cold pipe. It gives a feel of resistance when shifting but doesn't prevent me from getting in gear. Hope this helps.

While I like the idea of an underside kit, I think the vast majority would be a stock location type deal. If he ends up offering other configurations I would like to see an underside kit.

Keep releasing products like this and you'll have to offer us a Tig Welded Cum Bucket so we can contain our excitement.

I will order 2 so I can swap one in while the other is soaking in the sink.

+1 I'm down for this piping kit. I got a Gen 2 and wouldn't mind a tr6 core fitment for my moderate power goals, and keeping from cutting the crash bar.

I'll gladly test fit and compare to the Cobb piping on the TR8L if you need a guinea pig for desert testing... Not sure what the desert would have to do with just piping... But it sounds like a good excuse!

Just tapa it in.

Maybe I misunderstood, i was under the impression we were talking about a full under car kit core and everything. Now I am tracking if just the routing of the pipe was run that way. In which I completely agree would be a great idea.

I was thinking of getting a fmic with tax money but now I'll probably just play the waiting game for jbr.
I'd like something that would fit a genpu without modifying the crash bar. That probably means a tr6.

works freaking great with aftermarket turbos. Routing is clear. You WILL need rmm to make sure engine movement is minimal, and I recommend hump couplers to allow piping to move between the motor and FMIC, but I'm very happy with how it's routing.

This is awesome. I need to get rid of my PG piping from like '09. It was a tight squeeze and rubs on everything but more importantly it is holding me back from getting a giant sexy intake manifold because of the way the piping goes down next to the dipstick.

Definitely in to replace current piping as along as the piping doesnt cross in front of the intake manifold. Also, the option to work with the tr8l . Would love to add this to my already large JBR selection

For gen 2 you could consider the Godspeed Type C core. (24x7.5x3)

It fits without cutting stock crash bar. Under tray may need modification but I like what JTMS3 has done.

Godspeed Type C IC with PG Piping Kit

Almost bought Cobb V2 Retrofit kit last night to replace my PG piping... If JBR comes out with a viable solution, I will switch!

@jbarone; Just a thought to appease everyone whos like, 'I want this other core', and this is just food for thought, design the kit to fit the tr8l and then just do longer silicone couplers to the end tanks. Then if someone is using a different core that may be longer than a regular tr6/8/10, they could just trim the silicone to the length they need. Again, food for thought. I personally would just say screw them but you're trying to generate sales....lol

The tr6 and the tr8 are both the same length at 28 inches overall, the tr8l is 30 inches. Would be best to develop for tr8 as a kit designed for it would fit the others, if trimming the couplers is the only mod.
