There is only a couple more inches of silicone in our hot side kits when compared to other FMIC piping kits on the market. The reduced number of connections makes it appear like there's much more but, there's not.

Our silicone is designed to be application specific. The silicone for our FMIC kits has been specifically constructed to minimize swelling. The pieces included in our kits swell no more than couplers and elbows supplied with other FMIC kits. The overall reduced number of connections increases reliability which was one of our design goals with these kits.

It's too early to know for sure as testing is still ongoing. If I was to take a stab based on the information we've collected thus far, the 2867 will see spool increase around 175-250 RPM earlier.

I appreciate your input mate. Might I ask why it is you opted for long couplers instead of slighly longer piping? To be different, any logged improvement over the alternative? I do like the pipe support, its definately a nice peace of mind addition. Would you consider making this kit with a blow through cold pipe option?

You don't. We'll have complete under mount kits that include our cold side and our cold side hose will soon be sold separately as well.

We're in the process of making up the kits now and hopefully, if everything goes smoothly, we'll have them by the end of the month.

If you aren't joking about this ... I am going to have to cancel my current Cobb FMIC order. I am not much for being an early adopter of anything due to bugs having to be worked out ... but I am willing to gamble if you truly will be releasing within the next couple months.

Out of curiosity, what turbo do you plan to run with our kit?

I just installed a BNR S3 on a Genwon MS3. It's currently garaged waiting for an upgraded IC.

Something about the position the full racemanifold holds it at I believe. At least thats what ive read.I was originally going to do a precision 5858 and planned on doing the HTP for 4" intake, but apparently that is problematic.. alan at edge brought this to my attention.

Our under mount kit will be available Thursday for both the k04 and big turbos. Hot and cold side piping, clocking brackets, hoses and hardware. Fits 2007 - 2013 MS3 with either a TR6, TR8 or TR8L core.

It does. All piping is higher than the bottom of the oil pan.

Finally got the kit installed. Clocked the GTX turbo while still installed in the car. The biggest pain was reattaching the actuator bracket. Always that one bolt that kicks your ass.

Really love the clean look in the engine bay.

Will do some logs later on to compare bats...

So far loving the kit. Running 26 psi through it with no issues.

Notes from the install I forgot to mention.

1. For some reason my timing cover does not have the stud mentioned in the instructions to attach the clamp to hold the metal pipe by the passenger side of the oil pan. Could not install the clamp.

2. The kit fits perfect with the CorkSport under tray plate installed.

3. Did not had to cut or trim the coupler that attaches to the turbo outlet to fit with a GTX2867 as is needed with K04 or BNR turbos.
