Well it it didn't take long for you guys to see I got them online.

Just so you know...I've been told it works well with the TWM, I have not personally tested this myself. I will hopefully be testing this combination out tomorrow. If you order it expecting it to be fantastic and you don't like it for some reason, please don't take it out on me. Cool?

^^you and me both!!! I ordered mine as well with the e4 shift knob. I'm really excited, granted I just installed a tranny mount yesterday, so that woulda been nice to have to install as well at the same time, oh well, I getta have my car kick my ass yet again hehe

Please Read Carefully

I installed the Shift Plate on an MS6 with the TWM Stage 1 on Sunday.

After 3 days of driving on it I got a report back from the owner. Not too good. The side to side motion is tight. Shifting is smooth going in to gear but gets progressively worse as you move from 3rd to 6th. The worst part is that the throw is uneven. Shorter for 2nd, 4th and 6th. Longer for 1st, 3rd and 5th. You don't really notice it unless you pay attention to it or watch the shifter. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH OUT THE TWM!

When I was shifting the car it felt OK to me. But I don't drive an MS6 on a regular basis so I have no real comparison. Obviously people have different opinions of how it works and feels.

So in conclusion, I don't endorse the use of the shift plate with the TWM. I'm just trying to provide my honest opinion and cover my butt. So I hope you guys don't hold anything against me.

Those of you that have the TWM can remove it and go with just the Shift Plate and gain an additional 5.5%. Just an option I thought I'd point out.

Removing the TWM is a PITA.

Any reason on why there are inconsistencies? I'd cancel my order, but I got an email saying that it already shipped.

I wouldn't say they are inconsistencies; just differences in opinions and and taste. I'm picky, some people aren't, and I assume some are willing to except some issues for shorter throws.

If you want to return it; refuse it by writing return to sender on it. I'll give you your money back.

I've been honest from the day I started this business and I will continue to be. I never officially blessed the this combination; I just reported on what I was asked to test.

I totally understand and respect your position. One thing I can say is it didn't suck. The throw was short.

I just checked the mailbox on the off chance my new James Barone Short Plate Shift had arrived yet...ordered it this past Sat. night and sure as shit it was there. Thanks Jamie! I'm getting ready to open it right now..Box is sitting right in front of me...

{edit} Looks fantastic, Jamie! High quality parts. Can't wait to install it. I should be picking up my new SRI soon and I'll install together. Thanks for the super fast shipping. I'll let you all know how the install goes.

Would this be a better choice than the twm sts stage 2 or can u use both together?......nevermind im a dumbass and didnt read all of the thread first...maybe ill do this instead!

2 things...

1st. The install directions were not finished when I shipped so I included the location to down load them.
BE SURE TO READ THEM!!. It's easy but, there are important steps to be followed.

2nd. You've waited months for this to be released now get your butts out there and install them.

Ok I just installed mine and I am very satisfied with this product. The install was very easy without any issues. The shifts are alot shorter, especially 6 gear. I'm also glad I bought the bushings with it because it makes shifting alot crispier. It's perfect! Thanks Jamie for a great great product.

I ordered the black Stage 2 Short Shift Plate Kit in the wee hours of 3/9 and on 3/11 I received the product. Very good communication from Jamie with order and tracking confirmation number via email that morning. Wrapped product and secure packaging for the loose items with instructions on where to download the latest information.

This company is doing it right and I am eager to see what they come up with next. Thank you JB Racing.

Damn, now I'm thinking I didn't order everything I needed/wanted to...What advantage will the bushings add? By not ordering separate bushings, did I not get all I should have?

The bushings by themselves don't add to much to the equation. The bushings and the shift plate work very well to tighten up the shifter, aids in gear selection and makes for a crisper feeling. The bushings, short shift plate and a rear motor mount work in harmony together for the ultimate in shifting response and driver experience. The driver feels more connected to the car. The RMM also helps reduce wheel hop.

Raterry If you want bushings too PM me and I'll work out a great deal for you since you already purchased the Shift Plate.

At least to me, I had basically all of the above, except using the TWM products, and was still dissatisfied with the shifting, particularly the shift into third. It wasn't until I put in the AWR trans mount and redline trans fluid was I finally happy with the shifting.

got this installed a few days ago.... im getting used to it with the nice shorter shifts, its really nice not having to spend all that dough on a shifter....yes it does require a little more effort... thats why the stock shift is so long for creature comfort < eff that
