(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Some of you may have already seen my review for the transmission mount for the MS6, but here is a recap as it will lead directly into the initial impressions and functionality of the passenger mount. 80 Duro Transmission mount, install was pretty straight forward and a bit easier for me than most since my battery has been relocated to the rear, so that was one step less than most will require. Initially i thought something was wrong because of hearing the transmission whine. After about 400-500 miles the sound and vibes decreased significantly, although with just the upgraded TMM, you will still feel the vibes at idle and hear the whine when in low rpms going through the gears. 70 Duro Passanger mount, again, install was simple and personally didnt take me any longer than 45 minutes to swap the old out with the new. Hopped in the car and the cold start was intense. My hood was rattling like crazy on the latch so i personally stuck a rag under there until it stopped. Once at normal operating temp everything was fine and the vibes decreased even more with the combo of the TMM & PMM. When going through gears the motor definitely feels allot more stable and less sloppy. I thought that just the TMM was an improvement until i had the combo of the two. All in all the trio of JBR mounts for the MS6 are a must have, they should be bought as a trio in order to feel the true advantage of being fully mounted. And of course, pics for all to enjoy. I would like to add that for the passenger mount, there will not be welds on the production run of this part. It will be a solid 1 piece unit. Thanks, -Chris

Granted that is at idle, at normal operating temp. Through the gears is a bit different. It isnt more NVH, its just been shifted through different areas if that makes any sense.

| Not Ranked : 0 score You're also gonna see a significant reduction in noise and vibration after the PMM breaks in. The great thing about this mount is the orientation of the bushing. It will perform just as well after 10k miles as it did on day one and it's not gonna fail like horizontally oriented mounts tend to. |

I have the stiffest trilogy for Gen2 and I was like "cheezus what did I do" after install. Week later, not so bad, three months later, mostly transmission noises and a rumble right after take off and that's it. And really, think about it, horizontally oriented ones are ALWAYS being compressed upwards when the engine is even sitting while parked. So the hole goes from whistle face o to oh face 0

| Not Ranked : 0 score Question. Why do I need a TMM? From looking at the engine whilst on the dyno, the RMM I have seems to keep engine movement under load in check. Also (as you know) the MS6 no haz twerk steer or wheel hop. Basically, I'm just looking for a legitimate reason to upgrade.

Case and point (though on a 3): I helped a local install an RMM and his stock PMM blew up. I mean fluid everywhere on the passenger side of the engine. He bought an 88a PMM and the vibes were pretty wild but I've been in meaner. Installed his TMM and the vibes were distributed cleaner and even with just an intake and vtcs/egr he's fighting for traction until just after shifting into third (its kinda cold out :/). Shifts are easier, car responds immediately, and these mounts won't blow. Put that to AWD:

| Not Ranked : 0 score awesome write up chris! I know my mounts are fucking amazing!!! HUGE difference in shifting, the feel of the car in corners as well. knowing that the motor is more one with the chassis is a great feeling, especially when you can feel the difference. I'm impatient to ride in your car now with the Trio. TWO WEEKS!!!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Dont know yet, we will see once i start pushing everything power wise and start launching it. Im all for stability though, and i have the mount, so no reason not to install it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The one thing that I like about the FMM is that it damn near stops all front to rear rotational movement of the motor. I know some people, granted they didn't have these awesome mounts that Jaime has, would have the motor rock and hit the hood. The FMM would eliminate this problem. On top of that it really does add quite a bit of support over all. I remember swapping out my TMM for the AWR one after I already had the FMM and even after removing the TMM and RMM we could not get the tranny lined back up to get the bolt through because of the FMM. When we tried jacking up the motor/tranny it ended up lifting the entire car. Basically for the extremists I think it's a good idea to add...Like skaterz, DJ, Downmented...me once I get top mount turbo swapped in...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I think the trio of JBR mounts for the MS6 is a must have, thats my honest opinion. If your talking about the FMM + these 3 mounts, yes that may be overkill for some people. But its perfect for those of us attempting to push the envelope.
