So it can be returned to stock.

3" fits. It would fit even better if the plastic on the wire loom was removed. The 3.5" will require a battery tray.

Both may be products, but this is not healthy competition. This is stealing a design concept if in fact you use the 51R Battery. All he is doing is taking a working business's idea, rehashing them out of Mrs Barone's sewing room, with cheaper materials and lifted concepts. He might as well be the China of the Midwest.

What did he develop exactly? Compare CPE's 3.5 inlet to jaime's, or the cobb 3", or CPE's Maf housings to JBR's, the saikou OCC to the JBR...i could go on and on. He is not developing ideas or an originator, he is a flat out imitator.

If you want cheaper prices support the manufacture who designs them. Not run to china. You can see how many companies that put out of business or moved back over seas. HKS anyone?

It all rolls down hill folks. What happens when the actual designers are gone, then where will the bottom feeders go for ideas?

Several companies tried to play this game with motor mounts.

To JBR...you want to establish yourself in a struggling market and be an actual respected manufacture? Then design your own products from scratch like everyone else. DONT be another turbotech racing. Be the originator.

Cheers!

Some pretty strong accusations. One thing to note. If I find you are sponsored or a rep for a competing vendor, ill block you from all vendor sections. Hiding behind a competing vendor to post this crap bugs me.

Lets compare turbo inlet pipes. They ALL LOOK THE SAME. I've been around Mazdas for 12 fucking years.

Not sure exactly how different things can be made with limited space options.

An constantly digging your ignored posts up after being buried and ignored is truly pathetic.

That's just like saying every other aftermarket company out there is an imitator. There's only so many ways something can be changed, but each company has something about there product that separates them from the other. I have parts from jbr and htp. I'll continue to support them both.

Ask jazzy on m3f if he should have patented his short shift plate. Don't know him? That's because it was 2.5 years or so before you joined.

If people are gonna whine about copying, please send me the patent. No patent? Get fucked. Legally, kick rocks.

Hmmmm, let's see here.....

-Short shift plate. 2nd to design one, first to market it. 1st adjustable on the market.
-AP mount. No others like it, our design.
-Mud flaps our design.
-No other company has similar MAF housing, our design. Look closer before you open your mouth.
-WHALE PENIS, been made for years by who knows how many people. I was the first to market it and mass produce it.
-MS3 Motor mounts No other side mounts are anything like ours. Again, our design. Rear mounts are similar to others but very different in several aspects, again our design.
-Rear sway bar, similar to 1 other but still designed by me and at a slightly higher price might I add.
-Shift knobs, my designs nothing like any others.
-Turbo inlet pipes, we all copied COBB. CP-e, SURE, SU and JBR. Only so many ways to form silicone.
-Camber arms, first to market with the tubular design.
-OCC, nothing like the saikou. Take a close look before you open your mouth.
-Battery tray, uses the 51r big deal. Not much like the tray from @HTP; at all if you'd open your eyes and take a closer look.

Shall I go on?

@Jarods7920; how long has/was your car sitting at HTP? Is it still there? I think I'll stop by tomorrow and see.

Will this tray fit the 6's or are you making one for the 6's too? If so that's fucking awesome!

I'm sorry, what exactly are the finer points? You simply made false accusations and presented no facts. Again, BOTH companies make quality parts. JBR was the first whale peen I believe. Does that mean he was copied? Not really; they are different. Compare them side by side. They're curved/bent differently, and there are other differences.

It's my understanding that the brackets will be wrapped in Corinthian Leather. Not sure anyone else has that.

This is not exactly correct, the whale peenoos was being produced for a few years here in Stl before Jbr released theirs. I have one that was on two other bt cars before I bought it from @jwilkins88; over a year and a half ago.

LOL... So over 3 years ago Htp made 2 big intakes and they wouldn't exist today if wasn't for them? Whatever man. So why did it take over 3 years for Htp to bring theirs to market?
@burn813; who built the motor in your car? Lemme guess.

I am running the HTP intake and @btstarcher; is running the JBR intake. Both full intakes, both 3.5", both made of exceptional quality but yet they are different in a few ways. As others have said there is only so many ways to reinvent many of the Mazdaspeed aftermarket parts. One big difference is I sure the hell don't see Cobb, SU, CP-E, or many other manufacturers on this forum contributing to our daily knowledge as much as JBR. Customer service is half the battle.......Big props to the amazing vendors that DO help out this community day in and day out.

Jamie, I was point out the fact that htp has been doing big intakes for quite some time.... That is all, I was not slandering you or insinuating anything.... Just pointing out a fact as I saw it. Yes htp built my motor, you built my motor mounts.... I take no sides.

Wow, so using the 51r, used in tractors, Hondas, rat-rods and Corvettes because its small and actually capable of over 500 cca is copying someone else's business plan?

Tell that to all the remote control companies using AA's instead of D cells...

It's no mistake that most of the aftermarket parts look the same, they are all modeled to fit, match and or exceed manufactures spec in some fashion, there are a couple of other ways to mount a TIP and filter but deviating to far from Mazdas design would involve more trial and error... So they all look roughly the same..

You think you can do better? Step up, or shut up.

But it isn't respectable. It's mildly terrifying. And that actually makes it quite appealing. - Mazda 3 MPS review, Matthew Jones, Top Gear.

@jbarone
I´m interested in the battery tray.
The problem is, that i´m living in germany. We don´t have batteries called "51R". But afaik this battery size is fitted into some hondas.
I found a battery with the following size: LxWxH=238mm x 129mm x 227mm.
Is this the correct size for your battery tray?
Another question, how much will be international shipping for the tray?
Will there be a special introducing offer with a good price?

It disappoints me to see so much hate from one vendor to the other... As many have already said there's only so many ways to reinvent parts. Nuff said.

Keep up the hard work @jbarone; continue to hold true to your amazing customer service while standing behind your products and the lifetime warranty that you continue to uphold! You don't need to be told your doing great things for this platform but know this, if you ever stop I will be one unhappy customer.

H8RS GONNA HATE!!!

Get this box and intake out so I can put them on my car!!!

I guess I would at least respect this situation a little more if the actual vendors were in here speaking their peace. I can only assume that Jarod is voicing the true opinion of HTP.... but he's really only making HTP look bad with his slanderous efforts.
