Default RSB bushing U bracket broke

Just broke my bracket for the bushing. Both bolts are still tight so it wasn't from that. Anyone else have had this happen?

One of my bolts backed out and bent the bracket, but I just bent it back and added a new bolt with a lock washer and a crappy load of thread locker.

@ezpotato; had one break and we replaced it, then shortly after the other side broke. His broke right at the 90 degree bend I think.

Yup. Tri-Point bracket. They made me pay for a new one, but it hasn't broke after years.

Well I order the replacement bushing pack with them in it...but, I would think this should be a warranty item.

There's an incredible amount of force on those brackets. Every sway bar manufactured has had a bracket break. At least ours is covered under a lifetime warranty, not 2 years like others. <-----That's taking care of customers.

I'll be in touch Greg.

Thanks,
Jamie

This "IS" great customer service. And, on a weekend too. Thanks Jamie!!!!

HI Greg,
Sorry about the bracket. I will put another in the mail to you first thing
Monday morning. I will need a picture of the bracket and your order #
please. Also, since they are covered under our lifetime warranty would you
like me to go ahead and cancel your order for the replacement set?

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

-Jamie

Better check the passenger side too. After I got it on the lift I found out it was cracked also. Jamie is replacing that too. Glad I got the kit to have for spares.

As Jamie stated, this is a common issue with all aftermarket RSB's.

Every single company that ever produced an RSB for this car has had those brackets break.

Are you positive??

I've yet to see a documented failure on the Whiteline bar, (but that of course doesn't mean it hasn't happened - I'm just never a fan of blanket statements like that)...

Yes, I know you. I know exactly how you are.

There's actually no way to determine if my statement is 100% accurate.

But, I can tell you from being on this forum and in this community for over 5 years, that it has happened to every company I've known about.

Once again I can't offer any technical data to back it up, just experience.

I've never heard of Whitline, so I can't comment about that. But I can say with certainty that Cobb, Hotchkis, H&R, Progress Technology, Sure, and even Tri-point has had these brackets break.

Now, considering all those companies, which is the majority and most prominent of RSB producers, have all had issues. I'd say my statement was pretty accurate and definitely not to be considered blanket.

See what happens when you start to nit pick? I had to write this whole explanation of why I chose my particular words.

The whole time, you could have just thought about it yourself and realized with all your years of experience in this community that my statement was pretty accurate.

Instead you try to high road me on extreme technicalities. LOL!!

Don't be that guy.
