Default Shift knob

So 2 days ago I was adjusting the way my JBR shift knob faced. Now the problem is, I pulled off the knob, but the nut that fits into the knob is stuck inside. I'll attach a picture to clarify.

I'm just trying to figure out how in the hell to get this thing out without damaging the threads. Lol. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338751680.508533.jpg

Just tighten the knob on the shifter to embed new threads into the nut.
Don't tighten it too much or that bitch will be stuck.
Then screw the knob back off and nut should be in place.
Worked for me

Or take a screw that is deep enough and screw it into the nut. Holding the knob in place turn the screw and the nut will come right out.

good luck. same thing happened to me and the only way I could get it out was to loctite a bolt into the aluminum adapter. Unfortunately I also loctited the jamb nut in, so my knob is now worthless.

This happened to mine as well, adapter is stuck inside of knob , still can install on car but no longer can adjust (straighten diagram). Tried reinstalling on car and loosen off, gonna try to buy long bolt, then vice grip bolt and spin assembly.
@jbarone got any tips or tricks to get it out?

Bake it. The heat should break up the glue. Works with super glue, at least.

I got mine out today, fair warning attempt at own risk. I was able to do this without damaging the threads. If you do damage threads just order new adapter for 15 bucks.

Take flat head screw driver that is thick enough to fit into adapter but get stuck if you push it in, then hammer it into place, turn counter clockwise and out pops adapter. If you wrap flat head with tape or cloth you may be able to pull it out with out too much damage to inner threads. Try adapter over shifter, if tou can turn smooth then your good. Again worse case scenario you buy new adapter. But you have full function of shift knob again.
