I still can't open any of your new maps lenny, i have no idea why it's not letting me and I just getting frustrated about it at this point... ATR deleted off my computer lol.

some random dude sent me the install exe...but that is no help, you have to have AP plugged in during install and obviously I don't have one so...

alright, still working on meth mixes to see how the car responds.... i kinda like pure meth, always seems to run better.

anyways here are the latest logs, socks is helping me adjust the sensitivity of the KR sensors ..... car does get a lil KR happy...pushing it to its limits for sure.

1-2 are 3rd gear and third log is 4th gear.

Lenny, did you use to do some timed gear pulls or acceleration using the DH? Maybe a good way to see power improvement esp in higher gears where you're not spinning.

alright guys, good and bad news.

the good.... here are the latest logs (and last)

the bad, I anticipated temps being off by about 7 degrees, so i adjusted the mbc to give me 22psi............ well, on my 3rd log (4th gear) that unfortunately didnt copy right into the AP at about 115mph 6800 rpm i blew out a huge cloud of smoke out the back.

first thought of course we can all guess, but as i slowed down keeping an eye on oil pressure I didnt notice any actual power loss , nor noise nor anything that pointed to catastrophic failure. I naturally assumed that an oil line perhaps gave way or w/e...... got the fucker back home limping slowly (it was midnight about 5 miles from home) pulled up to the house popped the hood and immediately saw no dipstick.....

so conclusion, the amount of boost i am running is getting closer and closer to the point where the crankcase (in no small part due to blow by) cannot evacuate pressures fast enough and last time it was a leaky valve cover, this time it was a flying dipstick. (couldnt find the fucker either) ill check the pcv valve later and i might add another vent to the valve cover to help

so went to the local do it yourself car wash and blasted the bay all over with high pressure, turned the boost down to 18 and fwy dried the motherfucker. tomorrow i gotta go buy another dipstick but as far as logging and tuning this is the point I am DONE 100%


at this point i am not even sure dynoing Thursday like i had planned on will happen, not worth it for a daily driver.

Lenny mine has done that once also. When i turned the boost up to 22psi one time for two pulls it did it. I turned it back down to 19psi and it hasnt done it again. Im gonna try hooking the vent tube back to my intake for now but eventually wanna try a 2nd vent on the valvecover. Like the hondas do.

Here's another idea -
The pcv system can't vent the amount of compression gases leaking into the crankcase past the piston rings fast enough no matter how you modify it because it wasn't designed to do that.
Time for a compression check.....

check your pcv system first and do a damn compression test already then make your decision before giving up on the tuning.

im not giving up on the tuning, we r done.

i have 7 degrees by 4500 10 degrees by 5500 and 13 by 6500 so thats good enough, afrs are around 11.8-11.5 so thats good enough and boost is solid 21.

nothing else to do,

i did go get a dipstick and boosted it to 21 and zero problems, dropped about a quart and a half of oil, replaced (oil pressure was always perfect last night so no worries)

only problem is getting all the fucken oil out of all the crevices, cleaned it as much as i could, time to let the rest burn off.... btw ex mani looks like dogshit now, like a big bird took a shit on it.

im gonna go ahead and dyno it tomorrow , it wont be on a dynojet or mustang..its a dynapack purposely so i can compare it to the guys I know locally , especially JCMS07 that dynod 343whp on it (they read 5% higher than dynojets) so it's like a 325whp on a dynojet....which matches his trap speeds at our tracks.

once i have the number it puts out i can apply it to the traps i should see once i get the driving part down like i had it on the ko4.

if it reads 300, 350, 400 doesnt matter...no changes will be made... I have pushed my luck for too long and this needs to be the end of this chapter until I rebuild the motor.

ill post results, shitty or good...most likely SHITTY!!!

nah im good. i have a "do not turn past this point" mark on it lol

u know temps affect boost on mbc cars.... so to try to get as much consistent boost as possible I try to adjust....just for fair comparisons... but not that easy .

anyways, nothing else to be done..time to enjoy the car..also i checked out the shifter video and mine is set perfectly....so its not the shifter. i need to lower boost to 15 or something where second wont spin so i can practice powershift and the timing of this new clutch

sorry to hear the adjustment didn't fix your shifter issues...


Yes if you don't even touch the dial on you MBC and temps drop your boost goes up ...that's where the danger is in my area at least ....50* temp swings and sometimes in the same day LOL.

we need a hybrid BC setup...MBC runs as is until a certain temp change then a solenoid opens to bleed a very small amount of boost away....hum....you could get the signal off of your IAT sensor and monitor the voltage and when it changes a certain %, bam a relay opens, feeds a sol, and you're good. you would want a gain adjustment to change the % before the sol opened.

at least it looks good on paper...

nah.... if u think about it...set the limit of your boost to cold. example for me 22psi when it hits 45 degrees. then during warm runs 21 or so..... car always knocks more during warm anyways so its actually a nice safety measure, provided u set the mbc to the max boost in cold weather.

Im leaving the fucker at 22psi 45 degrees and on the street during daytime will let me run high 20s to mid 21s all day up to 70 degrees
