Unfortunately i am without a tune =( due to some complications.. nothing serious, i hope. I have an Appointment scheduled for April 24th at 2pm to get tunes by Chris from EFI-LOGIC'S ( EFI Logics - Connecticut's Premier All wheel drive Dyno Tuning, Service, and Race car facility. SCT Tuning, Subaru Tuning, Mitsubishi Tuning in Connecticut and New England ) they have a mustang dyno and have done a few speeds befor, 1st one with a big turbo tho lol.

im not doubting their tuning skills, but the AP is not getting you above 350hp....no matter what turbo or tuner you have.

We'll do it on anything. I just don't recommend it. Our tuning can make FAST speeds even on the stock turbo. There is a video on here of a speed3 keeping up with a BT Cobb Protuned ms6. The speed3 didnt even have flashes. Just an upgraded k04 and the stock intercooler.

Boost is only one small part of your tune, can't say if it's safe or not..

i was scheduled to get it tuned at akuma but thanks to a very very very lil transfer case leak john said no* because he didn't wana risk damaging the mustang dyno machine! so that is why im looking elsewhere for a tune. I FEEL SO NAKED WITHOUT A TUNE!! FML

if u loook at there dyno library they have on there website, all the MS3 &6's are very basic in their mods, and dont get nearly as deep as urs does. GL and very interested in ur results

fix ur leak and go back to john. if u want good results u will do it. If u go anywhere else with that AP u will fail and wast ur money. john used to work at cobb so he knows the mazda COBB software better then anyone

so why didnt anthony make power at akuma with john? why did he break even in a race with a rebuilt k04 and a stock intercooler tuned with no flashes when anthony was running a 3076 and a 500$ protune?

This isn't meant to come off mean...but I don't understand why you are influencing people to spend so much money and not make efficient power. Then the burden of buying a tuning solution that works feels that much more expensive. I honestly mean it to help. You Jersey guys that met me know that my intentions are seriously good. I just get frustrated and it may come off mean.

I just got done talking to Gerry. He told me I could quote him. Gerry said that John from Akuma admitted the AP was an incomplete tuning solution for this platform. Save that 500$ and use it towards a tuning solution that will unlock your goals with this car.

Brian if you had the proper tuning solution you're block would have a pritty lil window on it' side! Im not saying you're car or anyone's bt/ap setup i crap. We're simply pointing out that there is no way possible an apt or t3 3076r should read the numbers you and others have posted on here. Perfect example is Socks. It too bad we havent had an ap guy convert to the sb with a bt, this would really raise eyebrows. Im my case i was basically fully bolted except for a fmic and meth with a pro ap tune. Anyone with an intake,inlet,dp would easily keep up with me. After Cpe 15 minute st tune and no flashes my car was keeping up with t3 3076r on a heatsoaked topmount. You really wana pay $500 for those results!! Good luck with that. Brian next week we need to get the 2 cars together and have billy take some race videos so we can put this to rest!!

Since, the first question that you must answer when you upgrade your turbo are what are your power goals....why would you buy a 3076/500hp turbo without getting a SB? If i was getting any turbo larger than a 2871, I'd get the SB and the flashes b/c its the only tuning solution available to make the power that coicides with purchasing a 3071/30r etc...

never have i ever claimed the AP can make more then what i am making now. its IS an incomplete tuning solution cause there are ALOT more tables still to be found. IMO the AP is for people who want to set it and forget it on stock block and the SB is for making big power. my shit runs so perfect and smooth that i dunno if ill ever change anything.

ive spent too much time limping around and worrying about this and that to change anything now. sometimes its just nice to drive your car regardless of how fast it is. people are so anally focused on a number that it drives the community crazy. if you dont plan on making more then 350-380whp on a DYNOJET then keep your AP, any more and your really taking a risk with the stock block. built motor i wouldent even think twice about doing the SB.

I don't think anyone even knows what the wall is... but i will say your throttle isn't exactly facing a window.... more of a..... well a wall. Maybe with a small glory hole to stare through...


Safe tune can be achieved with both SB and AP.

SB is much easier to tune, lets you make real-time adjustments and has live map tracing which is pretty cool IMO.

Couple that with the flashes and you (OP) can make your safe goal in the most efficient way possible. No ecu headaches... No reverse engineering some else's reverse engineering...

im etuning him right now till his protune date but when i drove the car the load values were high 240's before it cut cause i had the cut tables too low. after i get some logs ill let u know what his wall is lol. what if he doesent have one?

meh, i'm 99% sure he has one. And i'm still not even sure that the calc load clip is the wall honestly. Cause brian isn't hitting his calc load limit and his throttle is closed, hahahaha. I think there are just a myriad of unknowns and untouchables with ATR.

Definitely let us know though, and post up some logs
