are your planning to replace the 0-20psi for a 0-30 ?

If you check for leaks and you didn't made a test under compressor pressure, you aren't done checking for leaks....

maybe... I still have a few things to sort out before the real tuning starts. Right now it makes decent power with a lot of boost but the AFR's and timing are very conservative.

With a few degrees of timing I'll probably have to turn down the boost to avoid knock. It's my DD so I'm not planning to run any meth or E. If it still hits 30psi with no knock then I'll probably upgrade the gauge.

At first i was like: how can he know it is at 30 when the gauge stop at 20...but then...saw the needle at the beginning but on the wrong side of the stop pin héhé

do you have internal mods to spool that early or it is just because of the twin scroll ? (higher CR, porting etc)

30PSI on pump gas on a 2.3 litre engine may not work. 25-26 though will.

JMF intake manifold but no porting and CR was actually lowered to 9.0:1

I estimated it would end up somewhere around 27-28psi at 9.0:1 which is about the same effective CR as 25-26psi and 9.5:1

I ran 30+ PSI on 93 octane R+M/2 no meth or eth with 9:1 CP pistons. I plan to run more soon.

I'm just curious, how much timing were you running at, say, 5500, 6000, 6250, 6500 and 6700rpm, assuming that there was no major KR?

@Steve@VersaTune; How's this going? I'm really excited to see how it works for you. I'm curious to see how well such a large AR will spool with twinscroll.

Also, I never realized VT was based out of MI. I'm on the other side of the state from you guys just North of Grand Rapids!

Cool, glad to know that the West side is represented here

I've been so damn busy with VT, I have not had any time to work on the car. I need to fix some leaks and move the O2 sensors. It's 99% done.

Awesome! Hope you get her up to 100% soon.

You should try to make it out the MWM this year! Last year was in IL, but the year before was MI. It's a whole group of a bunch of awesome dudes (and lady dudes) who love hanging out talking about car stuff. They also do some car and non car related stuff too.

Looking for a fab shop in Detroit that actually wants work. None have returned my calls.

Can't get anyone to redo the DP and WG pipes.

Not sure how I missed that you're doing this. Definitely going to bug you about this at some point.

It seems top mount might not be worth it? That hotside looks real close to the shroud in your pictures, so may not have much room to grow bigger.

The WG pipes need flex bellows added, and one of the WG pipes hits the firewall when the engine rocks under torque. I'm looking for a full service shop to just make it work. I don't have time to deal with it. The car has been sitting for over 2 years.

It's ALIVE!!!!!

The intake piping needs to be redone with prettier custom bent pipe, but it runs now.

Useful boost starts around 3200-3300. Pulling hard by 3500. I'm still on WG spring pressure of 20 PSI. BCS will be attached soon for 35 PSI.

Well, at 30-31PSI I'm flowing about 435/440 pump gas g/s through the OEM mani with the VCTS on, so if you plan to leave that on and boost up to 35PSI with that huge turbo and flanges this setup should be good for quite a lot of power.

So far, transient response is really good. It doesn't drive like a big turbo.
