Dildo....I flipped mine around but since the wga arm is not straight it would just torque itself back to that position. I had to consecutively cut 3/4" off the entire arm. I would say I've fucked with my wga about 10 times. Finally all is good. I just had to hack the shit out of mine.

I am trying like hell to avoid this.

I initially could not get over ~20 PSI with my incorrect 10 PSI WGA (at 100% WGDC) so I tightened the rod 4 turns from stock (freed up about 20% from WGDC), which got me to ~23-24 PSI. Now I am at 5 turns which is good for probably 25 PSI if LCV2™ wasn't giving me the business...

I think ATP has since changed the oil line so this shouldn't be the issue.

I did take off my Greddy Type RS BOV took it apart cleaned it out cranked it down all the way and sealed it down the best I could.
Now the car seems to consistently hit a solid 22psi about 600RPM sooner then before.
I think that the BOV is at it's max and is just leaking I hope to try out a new one next weekend.
Here is a 3-4th gear log

Figured I would update this fail of a build.
IWG arm was hitting some coolant lines that are on the firewall.
I moved those out of the way.
My BOV was not the issue it was that my IWG arm was not preloaded.
What a bitch to adjust that on the 6 with the CP-E exhaust mani.
I found that I had to remove the rear motor mount and jack up the rear of the engine.
This gave me an extra inch so that I could just see the C clip.

I gave the IWG arm 2 full turns.
Before peak boost was only 20psi with my MBC all the way tight.
Now peak boost was 24psi but it hit it around 4800RPM.

Gave the IWG 2 more turns.
Now hitting 24psi by ~4200RPM

Gave the IWG another 2 turns to see if I could get full spool by 3600RPM
Shit went bad, full boost is now at 5200RPM and I was spiking to 26PSI.
I also started seeing some knock in the high RPM.

Right around here I did a log and noticed my HPFP pressure was dropping into the 800psi range under WOT. FUCK KMD!
Had bought them new from someone on the forum so no warranty.
ordered some autotechs through edge last week.
In prep for putting these in I backed off the IWG one turn and swapped my DO6 for a DO10 meth nozzle.

Fail continued.
Went to remove the KMDs.
The plunger came out no problem but the piston was seized in the pump where the 18mm nut is.
I will be picking up a stock HPFP from @darkcherry on Monday and will put my autotechs in it. More fail will commence soon!

So install was on 3/25 and still have not finished up my tune...
@atvfreek has been a big help!

Finishing off the update for now.
Autotechs went in, lasted 2 weeks before more fueling issues.
Found out that my relief(rail) valve decided to crap out.
Relief valve replaced fueling is good, for now...

Swapped in my D10 nozzle and went to GSD to finish off the Freektune.

First pull 333HP 355TQ.
4 maps later 383HP 385TQ corrected. Freektune FTW

Turbo is still slow to spool up. Peak boost is around 4800-5000RPM.
Will probably do EWG in the spring

it's weird that it spools later in the second run then the first, i would see this being good for an ms3 but not an ms6, i think that can spool earlier

lakespeed, niggah. have you missed all the details on the gtx3076 specifically?

you have to manually preload the FOCK out of the wastegate actuator. I mean, to the point where I actually cut threads off and screwed it down as far as it would go. After I did that, I was able to hit 24psi by 3800rpm.

Dew it. you'll see a major improvement.

Also, you should be able to fly past 400whp with that d10 on there!

edit: what boost level is that? I find this turbo doesn't really seem to 'come alive' until 22-23psi

Clearly I live under a fuckin rock. How did I miss this shit.
I did preload it a good amount.
I think I did 8 or 10 full turns.
I started seeing a 1psi boost spike so I backed it off a turn.

Car is at 24~25psi. ~380whp is as far as I want to go on stock internals on a 6.
I know the car is capable of much more.

Dew it. you'll see a major improvement.

Also, you should be able to fly past 400whp with that d10 on there!

edit: what boost level is that? I find this turbo doesn't really seem to 'come alive' until 22-23psi
I have always said on his car specifically that there was something whacky going on with his iwg. He already has the ewg manifold, so I believe that is his next step (fingers crossed).

Peak boost was about 25.5 to make that power. We both agreed to stop there. I've seen too many rods bend at 400hp on speed6's so we kept it dialed back a touch.

I think if he can get his spool sorted out, this car will be an all around blast to drive, not just at high rpm

Hell no! I am glad the fail has stopped, at least for now.
But I enjoyed the trip and the troubleshooting.
A new clutch is needed soon, motor mounts, a few cosmetic thing.
EWG or more preload.
I like getting my hands dirty.
But the car is a fucking blast to drive!

Yah. If you've already got the EWG mani, go for it.
At that boost level you should be around 400-420whp
If you didn't have the EWG mani I'd tell you to buy my old IWG off me from my gtx, haha.

Also. Man. EBCS. dial in that WGDC early to help spool too.

what's your MAF voltage at? On 3" intake I hit 4.95v on 26psi. I'd have to bet, unless something is wrong, you're ~4.7v?

Great numbers! That is right around where I want to be with my BT build in the spring. EWG ftw

You got it man. His maf volts were in the 4.7's. I'm slowly convincing him to go EWG and EBCS then dial in the lower portion of the curve. I know this turbo can spool much faster. I've tuned a couple of these to hit 24psi by 3800.

What kind of power are you at with hitting 26psi on the 3?

don't know yet. Getting a 3.5" MAF hopefully this weekend to fine tune. Before the MAF cut, I was getting IDC cut (load tune) because d08 wasn't enough methanol, lol.

I'm thinking 26psi should have me in the 430-450whp range.

Not trying to scare anyone, but dougefresh bent a rod at only 385whp. I'm sure freek has way more experience with keeping it safe near the limit, but there are several examples of people NOT at 400 who broke something. Best of luck, though, I'm sure the car is tons of fun.

the torque is the big thing to worry about. as of now the general consensus is if you keep torque under 400 you "should" be ok. we all know these things change but it seems to be holding true throughout this year at least

Great write up man. Your car has changed a ton since we met in Milford at bww. Stoked to see this thing run in future.

Definitely has me wanting to take the dive into bt.
