The pipe you see feeds the drivers side of the IC which exits on the passenger side and comes back under though a MAF and up to the TB.

Is that partially caused by your dp on that side though?

With the downpipe on the other side and the air coming in through the factory intercooler ducts and flowing over the top of the motor then down the back side, the intake air temps should be fine. Plus with the FMIC and the Fifth port injection, my BAT's are below ambient so I don't think it is hurting the performance of the car too much.

I love seeing this setup and seeing all the progress and future vision.

yeah, most the heat is coming off the dp on my car. prolly not as bad as it seems at first look.

If the heat does prove as an issue, it would be very simple to design a heat shield. More testing needs to be done to determine if it's worth it or not.


I had the exh mani off my 6 last weekend, and got a jig made for it. So hopefully it won't be too long til PERM can offer complete top mount kits for both the 3 and 6. I need to get my ass back in the garage and get it done.

Whenever you want, but its not fast right now (or at least not as fast as it will be). We are going to save big power for after the motor is built. Gonna just keep it at spring pressure till then... I'll start posting up pictures and details as the build date gets closer (hasn't actually been set yet but it should be sometime in late January or early February).

You guys obviously have the resources for a sick build but if you need someone to toss ideas around with for your build let me know. Sleeved block, custom head studs, and top mount gtx3576 coming my way.

I'm waking this thread up from the dead because I have dyno results.



Corrected numbers are 503/443 and uncorrected numbers are around 400. This was done on 91 pump gas only with conservative timing.

JP and I will be pulling the motor hopefully this week to start the build process and the next dyno sheet I post will be sporting substantially larger numbers...

I'm not sure if this manifold is still a prototype but how would I go about getting one? If they are available at all

It's a one of a kind manifold made by perm tuning, you would also need the whole blow through set up on the intercooler piping.

And the way I see it, there is a long line and you would be last lol
