Just receive the velocity stacks I should have my intake manifold done in about 3 weeks

Well the turbo kit fitment is being done on another MS3 back home. Here are some pictures of what we currently have done.

The turbo we are using is a PTE 6262 billet .82 a/r. The turbo kit is done. We are working on the intake manifold. The manifold will emulate the weapon r fitment on the mazda3, but for the MS3/6 with a 72mm custom built TB. We have a 72mm TB we will try to mate the ms3 tb electronics to the 72mm. The MAF housing is 3.5".

More to come!!!!! To include engine build and cyl. head. Pictures will be posted within the next week or so. Just received the ductile iron sleeves from darton sleeves; therefore, the block will be done with the next month or so. Everything will be ceramic coated. We will be tunning on the last week of October.

Just got the parts back from getting ceramic/powder coated

Pretty sure he could make anything. My manifold has a divided t4 flange. I always thought that the turbo is what makes it twin scroll

rodrigo 05-22-2011 12:10 AM

subbed for wtf

Yeah, the turbo makes it twin scroll, but "divided" and "twin scroll" have come to mean the same thing :). So as far as we're concerned, you have a twin scroll manifold.

mason 05-22-2011 09:28 AM

the runners on the manny have to be piped a certain way to be twin scroll. divided flange dont mean anything.

xPEPEx 05-22-2011 09:50 AM

I will be posting more pictures as soon as I get my the manifold back. The turbo is on the way. It just a matter of getting everything back and start putting it together.

GL!!

Thanks bro!!! Just got done with the intake manifold!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really like the way is done. You will not have to mess with your intercooler pipping just change the intake connect the pipping and tune for it.

Don't hesitate to call carlos if you want anything done. He will fabricate anything and will go out of his way to meet your standard. I will be flying him to Texas to work on some other stuff and final tunning as soon as I get everything on my car.

xPEPEx 10-18-2011 07:55 PM

Should have everything in and tuned and about a week or so. I am still waiting for some parts to come in.

xPEPEx 10-22-2011 11:46 AM

GOt the rest of the parts finishing built this week.

Had some issues but everything is falling in its place.

Chimmike 10-22-2011 11:55 AM

That intake manifold...please tell me it's not just piping welded onto a plenum? Tell me there's bellmouth shaped intakes for the runners to the head?

Swagerwagon03 10-22-2011 11:59 AM

wow nice build man..can't wait for the numbers

Chimmike 10-22-2011 02:48 PM

Oh, those are sweet bellmouths..........very nice!

Did you fab that yourself?

kmac 10-22-2011 03:25 PM

I like the bellmouths , but they r too close to the back and front of the plenum imo . I believe it might cause turbulent areas in the front and back . I would flow bench it before installing it.

We tested it already it works perfectly.

My built motor will go in on Monday.

bmylez 10-22-2011 10:42 PM

Prolly wasn't cheap, but how much was intake manifold? Is it basically stock location?

srt4monster 10-24-2011 03:23 PM

Sorry but the angle out of the exhaust manifold is to steep, its not going to be productive for flow. The manifold builder should have had a cly head there to compare port angle with. Just my .02 worth.

Are there dividers inside that manifold? WTF? I hope that there is some sort of transition between the runner and the cly head or its going to be like pushing air into a wall.
