I'll try and break it down a little bit for you based on what you and CS have told us. 1. You bought the Stage I intake, and the airbox. 2. You have a 3rd party TIP. 3. You discovered that the intake didn't align with the airbox when the intake was hooked up to the 3rd party TIP. 4. You contacted CS to demand that they take care of the situation somehow because their own Stage I intake didn't align with the airbox despite the fact that the parts were designed for one another. 5. You failed to realize that the 3rd party TIP causes the Stage I intake to fit the engine bay differently than the CS TIP or CS Stage II intake/tip combination would, and as a result, it won't fit in the airbox. 6. You begin to demand an unbelievably low price for the TIP based on subtracting the $150 you paid for the Stage I intake from the $220 for which the Stage II intake/TIP setup lists. 7. Corksport implies that the answer is a negatory, and you get pissed and start trolling the forum for support. Now here's why this shouldn't work out for you. 1. Caveat emptor. You bought the parts, and you need to deal with the consequences of the fact that you didn't have the required components for everything to line up properly. 2. You're demanding nonsensical satisfaction. The $220 SRI/TIP Stage II setup is different than the Stage I intake + TIP. The materials are different thicknesses, as Corksport has already said, so the combination of parts in the Stage II setup is NOT THE SAME as the combination you would have by buying the Stage I Intake and adding a TIP. Basically, you're comparing apples and bananas, and expecting them to be willing to make you a banapple. Possible solutions: 1. Quit trying to drag Corksport's name through the mud. You're having a shitty experience, but the problem isn't on their end, it's on yours. You failed to understand, you made the faulty assumption that all TIPs fit the same way, and you need to grow a set and admit it. 2. Once you've achieved Step #1 , talk to Spencer on the phone, he's a nice dude, and will try and help you, if there's help to be given. While you're on the phone, you might suggest something like, "I'll send you the intake that you sent me, and based on its condition, maybe you can put its value towards a Stage II setup that I'll buy from you for some additional money." 3. If that fails (and it should, because Corksport shouldn't have any real interest in taking back your scratched/dented/abused/ill-informed purchase), then build your own goddamn airbox or go VIP and scrounge the For Sale list to find a CS TIP to fit your shit. I guarantee they're out there, I picked one up for less than what you're demanding at the moment.

I consider this thread an abuse of said medium. More could have been done by OP. ie. research, call followup every other day. More could have been done from CS as well. Thats all!

My only complaint about them is the cost of shipping, granted they are on the other side of the US from me. $16 to ship an AP? $11 to ship fog light bulbs? $28 to ship lowering springs? It's not terrible, but when you buy a $600 product that is a small package and have to pay $16 to ship is a bit ridiculous. I would have more of their products but I started taking business elsewhere when they want $50 to ship a catback and $50 to ship their shocks. Both of these are rather pricey purchases and they still charge a large amount for shipping. I've just wanted to rant about this for awhile now, so ignore me if I'm out of place.

| I think the point he was trying to make is that the inlets differ in size/shape somewhat, so they can throw off the positioning for the intake portion. As a result, assuming that one inlet is the same as another when it comes to having an intake fit into an airbox is fallacious.

If you simply buy the Stage 1 SRI, the elbow is longer and has a place for that breather to attach. If you buy just the TIP, you can choose to have a breather hose on it or to not have the breather on it. Doesn't matter in this case though. The problem is the silicone elbow from the Stage 1 SRI. If you buy a Stage 2 TIP/SRI, the breather is automatically located on the TIP and the silicone elbow does not have that connection. Additionally, this silicone elbow is shorter and thus the filter and MAF sit further back and slightly closer to the engine. TLDR, you need the silicone elbow without the breather which only comes with the Stage 2 kit in order to fit correctly with the CAB. OP fails at reading thus made assumptions which were incorrect and will now pay the price.
