Model: 2012 MS3

Mods: AT Internals, AP, JBR Stage 2 Powerpath Intake, UR TBE, CPE TMIC, GFB BOV, JBR Trilogy Mounts

Other Mods: Corksport Hood Struts + Battery Box

Reasons: This is the first car I've bought for myself as a project car and I love tinkering and spirited drives. I'm an engineer and can analyse a product well for good/bad and provide well thought out feedback. Lastly I have had nothing but good things to say about my first 2 Corksport products (even though they aren't performance!)

2010 Mazdaspeed non-tech

AP v2

I'm local and would be willing to drive to you to come get it. (no shipping!) I also have no mods besides the AP so in theory I could represent a "stock" car. I would be willing to go back to stock tune if requested and just use AP to log for data comparison.

Make and Model: 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 (w/ tech pkg)

Mods:
Cobb AP
AT FP Internals
CS TMIC
Sure SRI
Ultimate Racing CBE
H&R springs
CS Mudflaps
CS Interior LED kit
CS LED fog lights
TSW Nurburgrings

Reasons i should be a tester:

First and foremost I love Corksport products and have bought many parts over the years for the 3 MS3s I have had and loved. I love that you guys make parts solely for mazda platform. Second, i live in Portland, OR and can be at Corksport in 15-20 minutes if needed. This would make it super quick and easy to get any updates on how the product is working. Thirdly, i use this car as my daily driver and i tend to put quite a few miles on them relatively quickly. I have owned my 2013 MS3 since July 31st and already have almost 9000 miles on it so i would be able to help test the longevity of the new product. Lastly, because i love working on these cars and would be honored to test one of your products!

I should be a beta tester because I probably put more miles on my car than anyone here; I average between 5k and 6k miles every month. I also drive her very hard.

07 speed3, CS intake/TIP, CS RMM instert, Accessport.

why? lots of seat time. i've put on 14,000 miles since february, and that was including 2 months of unemployment where i stopped driving. i'm also in the auto industry, have a lift and tools at my shop, as well as plenty of tools in my garage. but most of all, i'm local... how cool is it i can just drive my car up to your shop instead of describing things in emails? here are the keys, try it out yourself. yep.

Edit: will have Cobb f/r sways, Cobb cbe and cpe fuel pump after December 7th.

•2009 Mazda Mazdaspeed3

•Performance Modifications -COBB AP, AT internals, Corksport - DP, RP, Shifter bushings + SSP, TurboXS BOV, Full Intake.

•The Best Reason You can think of for why YOU should be a Tester
I believe I would be a good choice as I am in the Quality/Manufacturing line of work and being meticulus and detail oriented is something I take serious. I deal with a lot of prototyping and first article components. I have done all the work on my car, be it mostly just bolt-ons, I am also no stranger to having to do custom modifications to make things work. I have been tuning my car on my own with trial and error. Im aspiring to be an Engineer and have always liked to take things apart and tinker with things to see how they work. I know my way around tools and cars and would love this oppurtunity.

Thanks.

Unlike EVERYONE else that is interested I am NOT an engineer. I am a guy that loves his car to be clean, functioning, and badass. Can I break down the exact microns of your latest HPFP or the exact weights of lubrication for the BPV that should be used hell no but I can give you the most honest daily driven opinion possible. Many of the locals around me can back me on how critical I am on every install from torque specs to engine bay cleanliness. Also I am one of the few out to show that decent power and speedier spool time is possible with a big turbo and TMIC. Am I fastest out there? Nope, not even close but I garun-damn-tee-ya that my shit is the cleanest around.

second edit:

It's easy: get a few gearheads and a few honest folks that are willing to give you a real opinion and you are golden. Key here is people who are willing to give an honest opinion on both the good and the BAD... too many are are willing to gloss over issues and focus on things they like when the job of a beta tester is to find issues, imo.

Easily the cleanest car/engine bay I've ever seen. Also you might not be an engineer, but you've got a better mind for the field than most of the engineers I work with, myself included. You just don't have that expensive piece of paper.

2007 Mazdaspeed 6

All current mods are in signature.

A few reasons i believe i should be chosen. One; you guys need more Speed6 parts. Two; I live in a place with a variety of roads to test on whether it be flat and straight or crazy canyons/mountains. Three; most importantly an unbiased opinion. I will be dedicated to getting the best final product out possible.

I can test both speed 3 and speed 6 parts.

I would like to test a full replacement motor for my 3 please and thanks.

And the 6 is getting a sweet build with a 3076 on it.

You should choose me because I am poor from 2 speeds.

2013 mazda speed 3

I currently have installed accessport v3, jbr stage 2 intake, Cpe rear motor mount, Cpe downpipe, corksport bypass valve, auto tech internals, jbr oil catch can.

I believe I would be a good candidate due to the fact of my knowledge of how a vehicle operates due to be a master tech for MINI and a California licensed smog technician.

  • 2011 Mazdaspeed3
  • Mods are in my signature. The only extra addition is the developer CANBus-Triple that I'm running in my car (updated to my signature).
  • The reason I should be chosen is because I'm in Canada eh! and can test your product in the cold weather. I also have all the tools at my disposal, no need to wait for an appointment at a mechanics, almost insta feedback from me . The last reason is because I've been involved in product testing for my old platform (Mazda 6). So much so that I installed MegaSquirt 2 on a 2007 Mazda 6 that everyone said can't be done and is impossible (others tried and failed ).

2013
no mods 4000 miles in 5 weeks

I have been a Corksport customer since 2002ish. I would love to help you bring another CS product to market and I can run the crap out of it. I drive at least 600ish miles a week.

So onto the new part!

What part will this be a Beta Test For? I can't say, but we will give you the option to opt out of the beta if it isn't something you want to install in your car.

With that said, You WON'T want to miss this!

So what are the rules?

1. Post in this thread with the following info:
  • Year Make and Model
  • Performance Modifications Installed
  • The Best Reason You can think of for why YOU should be a Tester

2. If you want to be involved please email Spencer@CorkSport.com with the following info.
  • Subject Line should say "I want to be a Beta Tester!"
  • First and Last Name
  • MSF Username
  • Phone Number

3. We will choose Beta Testers according to our criteria, and there is a limited number, so give us a good reason to choose you!

4. If you are selected as a Beta Testers we will require you to contact us FIRST with any issues, Questions or Concerns. This will be a PRIVATE beta test, and you will be agreeing to provide us with feedback and information FIRST.

5. You cannot sell the parts without approval from us.

6. Pray that you get the beta test!

Questions?
-2008 Speed 3
-NO MODS. AP but stock stage 0 tune. Depending on when this beta starts I might have auto tech hpfp internals.
-the reason I should be a tester is my car is completely stock. If you need someone to test with a stock car, that would be me. I'm well adept at installing most parts, I just haven't had mine for very long and am saving for the mods.

07 gen1 speed 3 GT 76k miles.
Mods: ATP 3" intake/tip, fmic, 50/50bpv, autotech internals, ap, RMM, solid shifter bushinga PAC audio thinngie (can't remember the actual name), koni yellow struts, h&r springs, itv22 denso plugs,
If I missed some, I'm sorry. Current mods and projected ideas are in my signature, currently on tapatalk and that is not here to remind me of what I have already.

Why I wana do it? I am an engineer. My job is to fix things for a living, hardware and software.

Are you guys making sleeves? Because I have a block in my garage that could use some

I'll also send an email shortly. Currently sitting in the airport in Taipei waiting to fly back to LAX in about an hour (14 hour flight). So I'll be on the look out in a few days when I remember (because jet lag is a bitch in this situation).

I wont waste your time with an e-mail but me or @Tokay444; (if his car is running, lulz).

Reason?

We're both critical and cynical but somewhat (sometimes) knowledgable assholes that will give you actual data to improve your products. Such as the ideas that I gave you guys when my OCC failed.

EDIT: And to that note I feel that I should say that this is not due to wanting a shiney new part but I would like to see more parts that benifit the MSF community and the Mazda community as a whole (or as a-holes, can't remember, I think @kritz;'s memory is rubbing off on me????).

06 Speed6

Mods in da sig, nothing too crazy

Im currently a senior in Ag Engineering. My driving habits are random and erratic. Also, the speed is going under the knife for some valve cleaning and an OCC at the beginning of winter break, I could easily (potentially) add this to the mix.
I have some good mechanical know-how and am used to writing fucktons of elaborate reports. When I start on a project, I am sure to see it through. I also am in the minority of Speed owners, with a 6. Always need more Speed6 testers.

I should be a beta tester to help represent the much colder areas (Toronto Canada Here). I fill up every 3-4 days, so put about 1k km/week on the car which would give me a chance to provide long-term feedback within a shorter time period. I also am not afraid to give honest feedback as I am nobody's ally, yet I will also give big praise where it is due. I do love Corksport's parts and philosophies, and as an industrial designer, I can offer some of my expertise with regards to your designer's choices, good or bad

Default I want to be a Beta Tester

2006 Mazdaspeed6
Mazdaspeed fourm ID: Lost Hawaiian
Savannah GA
ETS TMIC, Mazdaspeed CAI, HTC TIP, Steedspeed Manifold, Auto tech fuel pump internals, CPE Catted Down Pipe, Cork Sport 3” CBE, Cobb AP 19.5 lbs boost-with a RICH Tune, Ported Throttle Body, JBR EGR delete, JBR Short throw shifter, JBR solid shifter bushing, JBR thermal gaskets for TB, CPE Rear Diff Mount, Sure rear Motor Mount (Don’t Judge please), Tein lowering Spring, waiting to buy CS front and rear sway bar package..

I am looking to be a Beta test vehicle due the fact that I love to learn and make changes one at a time and make note on what to better the next time around. I have worked on many different R & D projects and have always reported the short comings and the great ideas that the engineers have come up with. In being a beta tester it is the attention to detail and noticing the little changes that make a product great or just average. As you can see on what mods I have installed I am at the point with my Speed6 that I’ll be willing to try just about anything to gain more performance or handling. I am a mazdaspeed lover and can’t find any other car that I would want to buy. I use my speed6 as a daily driver and have a couple of other cars that I could use if I need to down my speed6. It would be an honor to be one of Corksport’s beta testers on one of the best AWD platforms to test on with great technical support and a Beta tester that has a strong attention to detail.

Thanks for you Time and products

The reason I should be a betta tester is cause I'm a motherfnmonsta lol. But really there lots of good reason. I'm one of the og tester for cs bpv. Also I'm a certified Mazda master tech. I am also ase certified tech. So all parts will be installed correctly and professionally. I also have access to all type of roads from straight roads to severe curvy roads. I also have access to dynos where I can easily show power gains.

2013 Ms3 with tech package.

Cobb SRI with Cobb airbox.
Soon UR CBE
Stock after that.

If want to see how it does in harsh weather condition. Ranging from heavy snow fall, ice, cold weather and other environmental elements. Also road conditions like sandy road, gravel, sand/rock covered ice and many more.

Do mostly highway and minor city driving.

Year Make and Model
-2010 Mazdaspeed 3

Performance Modifications Installed
-Corksport Stage 2 Intake/TIP
-Corksport Race RMM 70 duro
-Cobb AP v3
-Autotech Internals
-Corksport SSP/Bushings
-Ultimate Racing TBE
-Forge v2 BPV
-Corksport Springs
-NGK Plugs

The Best Reason You can think of for why YOU should be a Tester
-I am relatively new to the Mazda scene and was drawn to Corksport because you only manufacture parts for the make (Mazda) of car I drive. That paired with positive reviews are what initially drew me to buy the majority of my first mods from you. I am highly detailed oriented and I think that I could provide valuable feedback/review depending on the part to be beta tested.

PS: If it really is a full short shifter replacement, please god sign me up.

Bone Stock

My car sees a good mix of big city and country driving. Plus, being a Marine, My attention to detail is borderline OCD. And you will get unvarnished feedback. The good, The bad, and the ugly

2006 Speed6 GT
Performance Modifications Installed:
Mods: CP-E RMM, AP v2, Corksport SRI+TIP,Autotech CDFP, HKS SSQV, COBB Shift weight,JBR 70A Sidemounts, No name testpipe.

The Best Reason You can think of for why YOU should be a Tester:

I have experience in testing programs. I did testing for ubisoft montreal. Currently doing alpha testing for dassault system (those who make solidworks and catia). I'm studying aerospace engineering (3rd of 7 years). I'm part of our SAE Aero design competition team (we finished 5th last year) and I'm in charge of testing prototypes and concepts (FEA, NDT, CMM inspection, dyno, etc). I'm getting pretty good at writing test reports

My car is also daily driven during winter, where it face the ridiculously high ammount of corrosive anti-ice stuff spread on the roads in quebec, and cold start under -25*C ( thats ~ -15*F for you non-metric folks)

2006 Mazdaspeed 6- AEM cold air intake.

I think why I should be chosen is because I can't be very detailed and descriptive of any issues or problems that arise. Not only that but never really having a corksport product, I think I can contribute immensely to promote and encourage excite and proper love.

2007 Speed 3

Mods: Almost Everything - Literally. Once the 3rd motor is in the car in 2 weeks, I'll be running (second) fully forged motor, GTX3076, Rebuilt tranny with Quaife LSD and Brass fork pads. Full coilover suspension, every chassis brace possible, full Whiteline bushing replacements, CS camber plates, adjustable rear camber arms, adj rear toe links, front and rear BBKs. Full 3" intake, full 3" TBE, FMIC, WMI, etc.

Reason: 1. I am a fair and honest reviewer.
2. I am usually one of the first to purchase new CS parts (actually any new part lol - like the rear bbk)- Cobb cold air inake box - with honest review not much in your favor lol. One of the first sets of Red camber plates, TMIC vent replacements - with honest review this time in your favor. CS silicone coolant hoses - apparently THE first person since we discovered they dont work for 1st gen. 3. You owe me - see last point of item 2.

2013 Mazdaspeed3 Non-Tech

Modifications:
CS RMM, CS shifter bushings, JBR SRI, UR Catless TP, AT Internals, Cobb AP PermFreek Tune, Forge V1 BPV.

Reason:
I daily my car in a wide range of temperatures 20*-100* with various back roads, highways and traffic. I pay a large attention to detail and love installing new stuff on the car. I have access to a full shop (lifts, various equipment, alignment racks, etc.) I am very quick when it comes to responding to e-mails, calls, etc. since I feel lonely and would like someone to talk to. I also do what you do except I sell OEM parts and do not engineer performance parts sadly I would love to be a part of whatever is going on and appreciate your time.

Thank you!

2012 MS3
Fully Bolted and big tubro, individual mods can be typed out on request

I should be a tester because I plan on continuing to push my car to the absolute limits. Me and my buddies in northern NJ are ALL big turbo and we all continue to push this platform as far as we can. If you want to see real results with your product, and if it is a product based around making power, then I am your man.

Besides on this forum, if a product has been through NJ and we haven't been able to break it...everyone will know it's ready to sell on the open market.

Since I was a tester for the BPV, but didn't actually get a chance to test it due to a wall falling on my car I would like a second shot at redemption!
