(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I understand the top is welded but thats not the sealant that ended up in my hoses. The largest piece I have found yet was from one of the mounting bracket screws. Is there a revision of this sealant aswell?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Here is a picture of the bottom of the can aswell (hard to tell but its bare steel)... do these ship uncoated in the lower section or has the paint been pulled off from the chemicals it is exposed to? I wonder if this could potentially cause an issue over time, hell, even oil pans rust out.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Haha, sorry! Not trying to kill the sales for Corksport either. Just trying to make sure my issue never becomes an issue for anyone else. I severely hope they're going with a new sealant. They should have my OCC back by the end of the week.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Basically, yes. I don't care if its teflon paste, NPT fittings or different mounting solutions as long as that glue goes away. Thats some nasty stuff and I still need to find time to take the rest of the tubing out and slice it open to check for more glue. Not looking forward to seeing what my TMIC looks like if glue got in there.

| Not Ranked : 0 score That's not why I'm "mad"...I ordered my OCC and received an email saying they were backordered before reading this topic. Everything was supposed to be here by yesterday...still hasn't shipped. Upgraded shipping when it is finished could have been a nice gesture or even a heads up they were backordered on their site would have helped too. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score What crap. How could they have possibly thought that was a good design and release it. Then it fails and they hint that it was user error, you ask for a return and they deny you. You then plaster it on their thread and other people that have had failures come in with pictures and now they give you store credit. Just return his money so he can buy a JBR can.

Just not installed yet... right now I'm just running an open breather zip-tied to the hood release cable behind the headlight until I have a chance to install the new OCC. Figure worst case I buy a Forge V2 BPV

| Not Ranked : 0 score I spoke with Kelly yesterday. I was assured that a glue free welded can will be sent. I will post a picture when i get it. Calling would be better. Her email is probably full and if she is like me it will be a while until it gets sorted thru. I like Corksport so if the can comes back good then i will continue my business with them. EDIT: Someone else posted pics. My can came back air tight and glue free. My trims are back to normal. So far.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yes. but the wife is not so sure. I promised her I wouldn't go wild when I bought this car. LOL Very happy with the stuff I've got from you guy's so far. Great customer service. OCC looks real nice. Might have to install it this weekend. Richard

| Not Ranked : 0 score Greetings from Australia. Mate and I just bought 2 and I only stumbled across this thread. Luckily ours are welded and when ordered was advised there was a backorder as well. Can anyone confirm if the YouTube video installation is still correct or the new method? I don't quite understand the new method or are the instructions now correct? Cheers |

| Not Ranked : 0 score At 500 miles since install, I decided it was prime time to empty my press fit CS OCC and see what had percolated through the system. The results were exactly as I expected. The can was hella full of a wonderful cocktail of stink which was accompanied by a few pieces of loose sealant/glue. ![]() I'm patiently waiting for my replacement can to arrive.

| Did OCC can install yesterday. This showed up hour after, cleared it, and it came back again today. My Idle AFR is about 15.75. Is this meaning that I messed up the catch can somehow? : mazda | This thread | Refback | 06-28-2015 11:23 AM | |
