| Not Ranked : 0 score what size diameter is the hose? i want to say a half inch but just asking just to get a 2nd opinion. i found a place where i can get real reinforced silicone hose for cheap. theres plenty of slack with how i routed everything but the t fitting managed to settle between the intake mani and the radiator and its pinching the hose against the plastic fan shroud.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Bout how full mine gets after a 500-1k miles with the changes in the weather around here. Got my new Forge v2 BPV in black today and installed it. Easiest install ever, took maybe 15 minutes including swapping in the blue spring and 2 shims. Also got a corksport shirt and plenty of stickers, lol. Thanks again Joel!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Decided to check the contents of my CS OCC to make sure it's working. After 300 miles there was about an 8th of a cup of nasty yellow liquid....probably shouldnt have smelled it LOL MY ONE WISH was that this can came with a drain valve Guess I might have to do one myself. Anyone @CorkSport know the size of the drain bolt??

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score You'll probably have to retap the can. I did some searching and a drain valve in m8x1.25 is nearly impossible to source. I tried back when Ifirst got my occ.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Even still, with no surface to seal against it'll just be an open bolt. I think a ball valve would be best but again, you will need to use a hose or retape the drain hole.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I agree that a ball valve or petcock would have been nice for easy draining, but oh well. The new welded design is nice. I replaced the recessed bolt that came with the catch can with an allen bolt from ace hardware. Its definitely not a drain valve but the head is much bigger so its easier to find if your just feeling around for it when trying to remove it for draining. Just $2 and you can get a couple and some additional o-ring seals just in case.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have tried installing the occ. I've tried twice still can't get close enough to get the clamps off. It's a very difficult angle and there is not enough room. Any tips?? Or help? It's pissing me off to the verge of not bothering! Thanks |

| Not Ranked : 0 score if you can get the manifold clamp and hose off you should be ok. your probably going to have to take off the PCV holder plate, i forget what its called. it shouldnt be a big deal just rotate the hose on the PCV valve so you can gain access to the bolts, then take them off. reinstall and every little thing will be alright.

If this does not work, find someone with smaller hands.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Or just leave the hose connected to the PCV and use that as one of the runs off of the T connector. Then run your line to the valve cover and the other to the bottom port of the OCC. Easy peasy, bacon egg cheesy.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have had this installed the original way for quite a while before having to switch to some stronger hosing after finding tears. At the same time I changed the routing to include the cam breather, and removed the check valve. After a couple more months I finally went to try draining the thing and got a very small amount of brownish oily substance...would have posted a pic of the stuff but there was so little in the bottle that wind knocked it over. Anyone else not getting much in their can? I have checked all the routing of hoses and made sure there weren't any holes.

| Did OCC can install yesterday. This showed up hour after, cleared it, and it came back again today. My Idle AFR is about 15.75. Is this meaning that I messed up the catch can somehow? : mazda | This thread | Refback | 06-28-2015 11:23 AM | |
