No rivet and genpu only. Rivets are the only reason I don't have em on my gen1.

Everyone that ordered these better check your box to make sure you have them!

Corksport, you guys need to check these before sending anymore out!

Anyway I had to go to Home Depot to get 4 M6x1.0 nuts to finish the install .

Overall it's an easy install except for geting the nuts started on the bottom of the brackets,
which was a bitch.

I am happy with them and think they have a nice oe look.

That's interesting. I will be looking into this today. Do you two happen to know your order numbers and can you tell me what color circle stickers are on the box these came in?

Cheers,
Joel

For anyone missing the four nuts that does not want to wait on Corksport to send them...
You can pick them up at Home depot in the bolt section. They look the same as the two larger nuts they included, but are smaller.

I have a rivet gun Raider, need me to send it your way? Having the lifts is worth dealing with the rivets, never gave it a second thought.

Mine had a red circle sticker....

Also, an image for the bracket placement in your instructions is incorrect and can cause install issues...

I went by the instructions and wasnt able to get them to work...then after speaking with @Corvette Tuner; , I had the brackets on the wrong sides (even though according to the instructions I installed them "correctly"). I followed the instructions and we both agreed that the CAD pic of the direction the bracket should be placed is wrong. (the left pic in the instructions below)

The CAD pic shows that the peg mount should be closer to the front of the car, put apparently it should be on the side that puts it closer to the firewall.

Guess I'll try flipping them around tonight...

Installed the brackets the correct way and they're good to go now. Even riced them up a bit. Not sure I completely love the decals on them but what say you?

@Joel@CorkSport

I got mine today short the bracket nuts as well. Also, I agree that the bracket CAD image seems reversed. Did a test fit without the nuts and it definitely seemed off. I also had a red circle sticker.

Edit - Order Number = 2580661

Yep, I discovered that our internal build sheet was missing the nuts for the brackets. We've changed it and everyone in the first 2 days of shipping is getting the proper nuts mailed out. Also, the instructions have been changed. Sorry about the human errors guys, we'll get better!!!

Having an Install issue and I sent pictures to @Spencer@CorkSport. I have my brackets in correct (I think); they look the same as everyone's photos above. It seems like the strut is too long by 1 cm.

I've attached some photos. First photo is fender bracket and second is hood off of prop rod full extension. My struts cannot compress by hand (even using my weight on it against garage floor) which seems wrong if the hood should be able to compress them. Am I missing something dumb?

no its not, just push the hood more(like opening) until strut click to ball joint

Do you have the hood raised all the way? It can't be resting on the stock hood prop.

The brackets look good. But can you get a shot of them from the side?

Also, I found it much easier to attach it to the hood first then get it on the bracket.

I'd the hood is all the way up, loosen the brackets and see if they'll move at all to give you a little more room.

I took one of those pics too! As I said in my previous post, that's with the hood full extension off the prop rod. I feel like I'll start bending the hinge if I lift any higher. Did you guys try hand compressing your struts? Mine will not budge.

PS - I remembered to rotate the image this time.

I didn't have to compress. Brackets look good.

The ends of the strut can be loosened, were they tight?

I'd suggest trying to put them on the hood side first. Easier to get them on the bracket after.

I tightened them as much as possible to the point I had to rotate the strut rod to get the ends 180deg from each other.

Only thing I can suggest again, loosen the bracket bolts and see if you can get the bracket to rotate a hair towards the front of the car.

But first, seriously, take them back off the bracket and install on the hood side first.

Got it. I Loosened bolts on brackets and they turned about 0.5 cm so the strut was only 0.5 cm off. I snagged my wife to hold hood in place all the way up so I could push on strut and not bend hinge and got strut to compress enough to get it in the last 0.5 cm and in. After that, 2nd one was a breeze because the first strut kept the hood in the right spot.

It was odd because it was a tad off and it felt like I was going to force it and I'm super careful because it's cheaper than pushing too hard and breaking stuff.

Pics of said happy wife included.

Glad this got figured out. I know I wasn't on the thread, but @Oni and I probably have 3-4 phone calls back and forth, where I was compressing struts, checking length and testing tweaking under the hood of our MS3 between calls.

Boom, Fixed.

Yep. Wonderful customer service help from Spencer. I'm going to laugh if my package of replacement nuts come in tomorrow because I still haven't received the replacements for the first batch. Oh well, only $0.68 at Lowes.

Just finished installing mine. Tricky business getting the nuts on underneath but as long as you take your time you'll be fine. My instructions were correct and all my nuts were included (lol). Thanks CS!

got mine installed today. bolting the brackets on was a little bit of a pain. if you guys at @CorkSport; would weld the nuts to the bracket it would make the intall 100xs easier IMO. other than that...fits great and im happy with them. here is a link to a few pics

I was thinking the same thing. Probably only need to do that on the one that doesn't fit around the nut tacked to the frame.

Welding the nuts could take away some of the flexibility in the install though. Remember, none of these cars are exactly the same, especially the body panels and the way they are fitted. That 1/8" could be the difference needed in a car that has seen a lot of potholes or was built on a Friday. It would make the install a bit easier... but at least you have the pride of being able to do it right???
