In my area they will measure what's exiting the tailpipe and not care if the EGR is not hooked. If the emissions do not comply with the standards they simply send you away to fix the problem, they will not check in detail (they even don't have the means for that).

Also, visual inspection is not necessarily a thorough process, and pretty much anywhere in the world you can get away with a lot of things (missing resonators, cone filter which is not sitting in a box, and so on).
Also, if the emissions testing is fine... then what looks nice pleases everyone's eyes, so they'll more likely admire nice looking manifolds, TMICs, exhaust tips, suspension mods rather than using them against you.

I don't know that he ever did an actual write-up on it, I've just seen him say that he had put together something to make his EGR read as ready for testing purposes. Dunno the last time he was actually over here on MSf, but @alexwlwsn;?

It flows a lot more than oem, has less than 2% imbalance between runners, 70mm opening to utilize rheir larger throttle body, pre-bunged for direct port meth, weighs less and is more compact than oem....what more do you need to know?
