Has anyone ever heard of this site? By no means do I intend to buy any of these but I found it fairly amusing to see an "HKS" bov for $50.

I think it sounds alot better in Recirc mode if you have the HKS.. I havent tried any of the others..

There are 8 allen keys i think around the hks that unscrew. you need to remove every other bolt and the front slides off. The fin thats gold or purple i think comes out and you have to buy the recirc kit so you can put the part in. Screw the BOV back together and than you just need to hook up the tube and boom, Recirculated BPV. I have the HKS and love it.. I think it sounds alot better than the VTA option..

+1 on full recirc HKS.. I had Forge v2 and now I have the HKS SS v4 on full recirc and I LOVE the shit out of it

Anyone know if the WRX 08+ BPV or BOV work on the MS3? There are a ton of them for sale locally for pretty cheap on CL. Seen some Turboxs and Turbo Smart for as low as $70 for the hybrids.

You should know the answer to this question if you have ever opened your hood. bpv is post Maf.If you vta, you are releasing metered air. You will run rich on shifts and probably have some after fires. Plenty of people around here do it anyway with no real bad side effects. some people vta and block off the recirculation tube. Some use hybrid valves like the dual port or the Cobb. really up to you, there are multiple ways to skin this cat. By the way this was all covered in the thread if you had bothered to read it.

I have a 2010 and everything is Stock!!, You said "Get more mods first that matter" and Can you list them??

I really want to buy the K&N Short Intake and upgrade the stock valve to either a 50/50 BPV, I know its silly, but this is my First Turbo car and I love the idea to hear the BOV Noise, If I can have that on the 50/50 BPV, even better.

I dont race anyone or anything, But trying to decide the best for my car since I drive about 400 miles/week.

any suggestion will be more than welcome

I have a 2010, all Stock, I am planning to do some upgrades like, Intake and the BOV/BPV valve. Can you please let me know your suggestions and if the valve you saw on that site (cheaper than any place else) will fit my car?, since its all stock, do I need to replace anything else? plastic to metal flanges or hoses?, I will really appreciate some help. This is my first turbo car and I love it

i honestly couldnt tell if you were talking shit or not because your sentence was a quote/comment run on jumbled mess! you were talking about mods that matter and what not. so dont get all butt hurt, just laugh it off and continue on. getting an attitude and popping off at the mouth isn't going to help you or hurt us. it was an honest mistake on both our parts. (that is as close to an apology as you will get from me so deal with it) welcome to the forum and i still advise searching. a BPV/BOVisn't going to help you completely stock. yes it may sound cooler but whats the point if you are still stock and have no AP to tune for it if you need to? not to mention the stock BPV holds boost pretty well.

Now We are getting somewhere, I know it sounds Dummy and everything but I have to be Honest with you and say that I really dont plan to upgrade anything for now, because of Money and few other reasons, Like I said before, this is my very first Turbo car and since I was a teenager, I liked the BOV sound and I thought would be "cool" to have that option in my car right now!, I understand that the Factory BPV holds the boost and everything else, but that dont give you the sound I was aiming for , I looked into the Short Intakes options for now and maybe later some new exhaust setup!!. I am reading everything on the "guide" and will get myself educated into these new "Turbo World".

I dont plan to go any faster, Wife is already complaining that the car is to fast!!!! lol.

Ummmm yes. It's pretty much the only dedicated VTA BOV that can keep closed at idle but still give complete drivability without all of the post shift rich conditions and afterfire. Not to mention HKS has been making products for almost 30 years. Do I personally LOVE the sound? Not really. But to have a valve that is this reliable, well made, and care free is worth it to me.

Unless you have at least an AP, fuel pump internals, intake, and RMM, a BOV should be the least of your worries and could be money best spent on one of those other mods.

I agree completely with you, but I really want the sound. I have a CS SRI with TIP and RMM. When I get my next profit sharing I'm going to buy the HPFP and AP, if I have enough money left over I'm going to get a DP also.

Could someone add the GFB BPV to the list here? I know it's talked about elsewhere, but it would be nice to have everything consolidated here since the Go Fast Bits part is a very good and relatively newly-discovered option.

On another note, it's interesting how it is now 2013 and there are still so many damn people who just don't have a clue when it comes to proper forum etiquette. There's never a shortage of brownies wasting space and getting butthurt in otherwise useful threads is there?
