My SRT4 neighbor is gonna be jealous when DCR boxes start showing up on my doorstep too!! That bastard just got some extrude honed/ported something or other IM and TB from DCR. I just want a 11 sec DD. That can't be too much to ask.

exhaust manifolds, intake manifolds, big turbo interooler kits(dcr ics are renowned), custom rods, custom pistons, engines, engine components, turbo kits, etc, etc ... why not right?

ive thrown the idea out there, and they are considering.... things for guys closer to stock as well. tmics, well designed coilovers, battery trays.... all the little things that there are voids for now could be something we look at.

this isnt going to be successful if we dont think big. I am grateful that DCR has interest and im going to do my best to make sure that whatever it is they do come out with are things that we all would need and would BUY...lol Make no mistake.... if you all dont buy their stuff for our cars im gonna be sad Thats pretty much the point.

DCR is doing this for money. Im sure darrell would rather be spending his very limited free time racing his own cars, than making MY car fast for free....lol

you can't do dick without suspension, with a proper suspension setup you will drop your et quicker than 20 more whp.

i wish a good set of drag coilovers would come out for the rear of this car, 1400pd springs for me please i'll do the chain limiters myself i just can't make fucking springs.

just because i mention that at some point i may see if he can get us some suspension stuff... that makes you question whether were gonna shoot for power first?!?

this car will be made fast. Darrells 2.4l srt motors make 300whp before you add a turbo. Is tht gonna be allright for you guys? Once we do that(and figure out fueling/ tuning), were gonna need suspension!! DCR cars will be built for the track.... road course and dragstrip. the srt guys are more dragstrip, but i think we'll have to target road course racing with our platform as well. theres gonna be more of an application for it with our mazdas. A large percentage of guys who are serious in this community(and go all out), are going to use this application in roadracing and to overlook that would be foolish. susupension parts are a given, but they will be further down the line.

Thank you Randy, I needed to hear that from you and DCR. I have no desire to head down the drag race path. What I *do* desire is to make all the Porsche owners in the local PCA, with whom I do HPDEs, weep like little schoolgirls everytime they have to give me the point-by.

I just want to see a proven method for 450-500whp, while still maintaining some modicum of driveability. Either that, or a proven method to get this car into the 11's with minimal drama.

no one really runs on a GOOD slick, meaning a 15 inch wheel w/ decent sidewall, and people who do are running 26's which are too big for the amount of power we are putting down, this car would fly on a 24.5'' slick on a 13'' wheel but that won't happen

yea, I agree but alot of people aren't willing to give up the OEM brakes. Maybe if this wasn't my DD, I would do it.

*edit - isn't the regular 3 caliper and rotor a direct fit? I wonder if that would clear a 13" wheel?

I think most people feel that way. Like I said, maybe if this was my track slut and not a DD...but if THAT was the case, I'd pick a different platform altogether anyway lol.

actually they havent touched it yet. just some discussion and initial impressions the first day it went inside. there were other projects lined up that are still being completed.
my understanding is that once it starts, it will go all out. we are two years into this and another 90 days is a reasonable timeline.

when the updates and impressions start, i will have plenty to share. it will be exciting at that point, im sure.
