Default How does one remove shifter cage and cables?

Hey guys,

Maybe a stupid question but how do I remove this black plastic thingy on the left where you can adjust your shifter?

I don't think it's the same as the shift cable on the right.
Sorry for the large files, I'm on my phone.

IIRC the white clip slides forward so the red piece can come loose.

Yes, but that way you can only adjust the shifter a bit left to right. You can't release the red clip and pull the cable off because it stops, it has like a 4-legged clip but two of the legs/teeth are hard to access even with needle nose pliers. I think the cap with the white dot needs to be pulled out first and then it will all come apart, but it's pretty tight on there and it's plastic so I'm afraid it'll break. I'll try again today after work and share the results here.

It turns out that it comes off just as the other one but it's much tighter on there, you really need to pry hard for it to come off. At one point I tought the plastic would break but it's tough (it got chipped a little though).

I hope this helps somebody someday.
Thank you anyway for your help
