Just rolled over 222,000 miles on my 09 Speed 3. Original clutch, engine, turbo etc. Just do yearly valve cleanings, change oil every 3-3500 miles. Went from an AP when I first purchased the car in 2010 with 30k miles. Realized I was going to push it too far for a daily driver and went with hypertech to remove the 1-2 boost limitations. Made 15 or so passes down the 1/8th mile and ran the car hard often. Now have an AP v3 with an ots tune. Replaced the HPFP at 200k. Stock VVT as well. Seems Mazda had the car sorted in 09. Can't believe the car has lasted this long and continues to run extremely good. Have a new RS and an 04 S2000 to drive so the car doesn't get driven daily anymore. Still drive it a couple times a week. Will post some pictures of mileage through the years. Best car I have ever owned by far. Wish Mazda would get back to the speed models. Like my RS, but not close to speed in the fun factor of driving. Enjoy the raw feel and power of the speed.

126K miles on my '11 MS3.

Been in the shop the last two weeks getting a new clutch and flywheel. Had to replace the shocks and struts once about 20K miles ago. Other than that just spark plugs, oil changes and tires (lot's of tires).

I was hoping to get 200-250 out of it when I bought it. Now that it has a new clutch I want the motor to last AT LEAST that long.

I might be making excuses for them, but I kinda sprang it on them. I felt something wrong and dropped it off that same night. It took a few days for them to get to it.

They also quoted me an astronomical amount for the flywheel so I purchased my own and brought it over, that delayed the whole process 2 or 3 days too.

Yeah if they were trying to get an OEM flywheel, that shit is like $800-$1k

It's why went Fidanza and Luk kit.

OEM flywheel seldom actually needs to be replaced. I had mine resurfaced for like $200. Tastes differ, but I much prefer the dynamics and feel of the dual-mass.

I went with the Luk dual mass (OEM) replacement. Their price was $1150 for it but Amazon was $545.

Worth the wait

Good price for new.

Yeah I amde the mistake of going LUK kit - clutch started slipping on my E85 tune, so had to pull power from the car.

My OEM clutch did the same during tuning - but it had like 150k miles on it
Put a new one in and resurfaced the FW, and all good. BNRS3 on corn. Now over 260k miles.

143,000 on my 2008 Speed3. Stock clutch, suspension, you name it. Except for under the hood, she's stock. This little car really holds up well. Even running e85 everyday, taking it on the chin like champ. Gona miss her when I have to get rid of her.

About 140k miles on my original and only owner '08 MS3 GT. Running strong. Static cylinder compression is 185-190 psi across the board. Been very reliable other than two "smoking" K04 turbos, finally solved with BNR stage one K04/Garrett GT28 CHRA hybrid turbo. Very happy.

87k miles on my 2009 ms3, only mods are a cpe intake, autotech hpfp, cobb ap tuned by nishan, injector seals, egr delete and cobb rmm.

Still on original clutch and turbo, only basic maintenance has been done such as oil changes and brake pads. Love the car

Yes, the Luk kit, which is identical to OEM. Have 70k of spirited driving on it at this point, with no problems. My engine is getting pretty old, so I am probably a ways below the 400hp at the crank that I was at a while ago. Looking at getting a new engine, and would put in a new clutch again at that time.

Just broke 40,000 miles on my 2007 Speed3. Owned it since 14,000 miles. 100% stock believe it or not. She might have a new owner come Sunday though. Will be sad if she does go but can't help but get excited about possibly driving a new WRX or Focus RS. If only Mazda would make a new generation Speed 3 ;(

My 07 Speed 3 just rolled over 100k. The speed 6 I bought it with 175k and had a burnt valve on cyl #1 . Got around 177k now, mainly used at the track.

Just past 100,000 miles, and realized the engine has started to burn oil. I think it's time to use a thicker oil now, 5w40?

Other than that, no issues. I have an Autotech HPFP and I haven't put it into the car yet. This is my daily driver and I will not be tracking it at this point. Kind of pointless to put in the HPFP?

Burning oil is a bit concerning though...

Time for another brake job (only changed the brakes once so far around 100k), but other other than blowing some oil through the original turbo, this thing is still going. I love this thing!

86k on '09 Speed 3. Bought it new in VA in June of '09. Haven't driven it pretty much at all in the past 3 years ever since the turbo blew and it smokes like crazy. Tried the restrictor bolt and thicker oil with no benefit. Only mods since I bought it were SRI, test pipe, cat-back, and RMM.

Just picked up a used Accessport this past weekend, and ready to pull the trigger on the Corksport turbo, DP, and HPFP internals. As much sense as it makes to just let it go, part of me knows I'd miss it. Hopefully I'll get to drive it some this summer.

Checking back in. 100k miles. FBO minus manifolds stock turbo E85 mix. Decided to opener her up and clean the valves, but after looking at them, they are actually good looking. Did regular maintenance while I was in there; EGR block delete, thermal gaskets on IM & TB. TB coolant bypass and tranny fluid change. I’ll be sending the old oil off to get anylized to get some clarification on the fomoco unicorn his being god in gen 2 trannies. No shaft play with the turbo and no oil in the intake. So in closing regular maintenance using a good oil with changes every 3k-4K this platform is very stout.
