As far as I know it's still stock. I gotta go through all my papers to double check. From what i remember it was just a bunch of oil changes and regular maintenance.
I don't even know if the warranties have been done like VVT. Timing chain is 90% tight and on occasion its got some slack from what I read thats fine.

I should probably get some stuff done this summer though for piece of mind. compression check, flush my fluids, etc lol.

My theory is if its running great why tinker with it?

2009 MS3 I bought it last June with ~76000 miles, I'm at about 86K. The car had one previous owner that took it to the dealer for any maintenance. The car was in pretty good shape when I bought it.

After the 10K I put on it is going to need some work. The stock dampers are horrible so I have Koni FSDs to install. There's a awful lot of slack in the timing chain and some rattling with cold start ups. So it looks like I'll be doing the timing chain and VVT in the next month.

08 with 120k stock. Runs great just need to replace some bushings, struts just got replaced. Paint needs some lovin.

I *think* my car has like 36k miles. I bought it brand new in the summer of 2008. Drove it daily while finishing lolerschool at UF, and then also drove it daily to work into DC until the girlfriend moved down from NYC some time in 2009. Experienced premature clutch failure while my parents had the car in Florida while I lived in Japan. Not sure what happened there. Trying to get the car back up here soon.

Yeah, I know. There was a long period of time when the GF was driving me to work, so the speed sat in my garage in Arlington next to my pork track car. Before that, I was using an old SUV to drive in the winter. Then, we moved to an apartment near the train (metro) before I went to work in my firm's office in Japan. In the meantime, my parents drove the car from DC to Florida after a visit for storage (no more garage). My mom drives it to work at my dad's close dental office like 2 days a week. The clutch failure was out of the blue, and I think it is not a normal failure mode (I did some research and I guess it happens). My pops just sort of took me aside and showed me this at Christmas (first time I was made aware of the failure). You can see where the "organic" material has made its way past the "rivets."

I will open up the trans when I get the car back up here since it isn't that hard to inspect whatever replacement they bought. Frankly, at this point, I wish my motor had some more miles.

06 speed 6 with 76.5k. Before my new job i started 3 months ago i used to out about 1500 miles a month on my car. I have my speed6 about 3 months before i left and in the last 8 months of owning it ive only put on 6k total.

08 MS3 with 82k. Bought it with 78k on the clock last August. I don't get to drive my baby as much as I'd like but I enjoy every moment I get behind the wheel especially when stomping on the fun pedal.

I would be disappointed, However i am starting to get paranoid. New Plugs, compression test and fix a leak are on the menu this weekend

Just waiting till the new Golf R comes out... Could be another year.

104,000 on my '08 which I've owned since new. First car I've ever owned in my 65 years that I've gone 0 - 100K+. Original clutch is like new. Dealer-installed MS CAI is my only mod. Have never had to add oil between 5K oil changes, but, on rare occasion, it smokes for a few seconds after long idles. At 99K, replaced all 4 struts, front brakes, motor & tranny mounts, some bushings. Engine light goes on and off due to sticky EGR valve that the dealer was supposed to replace but forgot. It will soon be time to replace my 4th set of tires (current ones have 29K despite much tire squealing in 2nd gear). So far a keeper!

168000, MS3 07' bought it new in early 07' one of the first off the boat. Never has been in for anything major except for now, needed rings and a VVT and TC. Now it has a slight oil leak from the valve cover. Turbo and clutch still going strong.

144,301 miles on 2006 speed6. Still runs like a champ. Only thing that has gone wrong was a busted slave cylinder.

Just turned 148000 last week on my 2008 speed3 & a week before that had it up to 140mph no problem. Mods are minimal, hope to get an access port soon.

Yes sir! I sold my si like 6 months ago and waited for a good ms3 or some others. I drove a couple closer to 100k miles that were the same price this was an old retired guy that moved down from Washington and kept it perfect. Only thing he did was tinted windows and the 3m wrap on the front. I changed all the fluids and plugs did the Cobb intake and hypertech tune and it's pretty good. The power is a little funky from what I'm used to but at least it's got power unlike my si.

yeah this is not a SI...however that 5k wall you are talking about a good tune will get rid of that...

Yeah I like the difference, the looks, the hatch, the turbo it's super comfortable. Once I have more money I'll ditch the hypertech, add maybe the downpipe, hpfp and Ap with a professional tune. I want a little more power and for this thing to be healthy.
