Default How to picture hosting

Are these all dead links now, or are they available in the VIP section?

1. What are you talking about, specifically?

2. You can add pictures to your posts by using the "attachments" feature in the post editing tools. You can also "insert image" in the same way.

Sorry, I re read my post and it is hard to figure out.

For the 'how to' threads/stickys, there are pictures that don't show up in the threads. Is that because they are now dead links, or because they are in the VIP section only?

It is because those pictures were not hosted on MSF itself, and probably on Photobucket or something like that. Many of the 3rd-party image-hosts stopped allowing direct-linking and so we get fuzzed-out or absent links to pictures.

In any case, if they were in the VIP section, you couldn't see them at all.

Just noticed in your sig you're getting 32mpg. What was your mpg before the mods?

I assume that was all highway? Reason I ask is mine is still on it's first tank of gas, and with mixed driving I'm up over 225 miles with ~3/8 tank of gas left in it.

What were the mods that pushed you to 32.5 mpg? I assume freeing up the breathing would make a big difference, or did you do it with a tune?

I see that you have some numbers in your sig that probably indicate what you did, but I'm not clear on all the abbreviations yet.

Yes, in order to get above about 25mpg, it has to be mostly highway driving.

The tune is the single most important change to the car vis-a-vis fuel economy, and driving style is the single most important overall thing to change for fuel economy.

There's an entire "MPG TOONING" thread on the forum that details a lot of the tuning experimentation and results that people have had on this platform.

That was a very informative thread, which will be made even more so when I can understand what the heck the tuning language means.

Guess getting that Cobb tuner makes monetary sense now (read that as 'I can now justify it to the wife').

For the MPG upgrade to be safe, would I need to replace the stock fuel pump internals?

If there is anything this forum will teach you, it is to make upgrading your pump internals one of your first investments. While it probably is not ABSOLUTELY necessary if your only goal is a mild higher MPG tune, it allows you the freedom to add additional modifications if your power goals change down the road.

From reading through the forum there seem to be plenty of fairly easy to make modifications that would realize some substantial gains in hp without touching the turbo, so I've already made up my mind to swap out the pump internals.

Plus, I think RPM or someone is still offering the Cobb access port and the pump internals as a package.
