Default MS6 back on the road. JMF manifold questions

I haven't been around in years. My MS6 has been dead in the garage for years now. But, I decided to get it back on the road. I will need some engine work done, I'm thinking of using Kozmic Motorsports in Houston.

So, I bought a JMF intake manifold. It has never been driven with it installed. I did install it years ago but just sitting in my garage.

The thread on it hasn't had a new post since 2013:

SilverDemon/JM Fabrications Intake Manifold Interest Thread - Mazdaspeed Forums

So, I figured not reviving a 4-year old dead thread. Not even sure which subforum I should go to. Silverdemon even still around this forum?

I see other vendors, Cobb and CPE now have intake manifolds, and they made theirs with more similar to stock fitment. But, I've got mine installed, so I guess it is a moot point. Just curious as to how the three perform. Unless something was found catastrophic with the JMF, I presume to keep it.

So, there are three NTP ports on the manifold. I have them hooked up already. One is for something to do with the brakes I think, one is for the connection to the BPV valve. One is for something else that runs beside the brake connection, I forgot what that is.

It has been years since I've worked on my car, so I've forgotten a lot. But, isn't there supposed to be a connection for the PCV system? That the IM has vacuum except during boost, right? So, am I mis-remembering?

I'm an idiot and spent way too much on this damn car. One of the reasons it has sat in the garage is just couldn't bear to get rid of it, but couldn't bear to dump more money in it either. But, I guess I will bite the bullet and put more money in it. So, I've bought the Corksport cams and Corksport throttle body.

What I was looking for is by the MAP sensor. I don’t know how I missed it before

This place is pretty dead now that facebook took over the world.

To be honest, I don't know how useful upgrading the cams and throttle body would be on this engine. Lots of people making crazy power on stock cams/tb.

Look up Freektune on instagram/facebook. Dude is setting records in the quarter just concentrating on good driving, good tires, with lots of power and a strong drivetrain with some upgraded input shaft/intermediate shaft (speed3). Stock cams/tb afaik.

I figured it was dead here mainly because Gen1/2 are pretty old now and most people have done what they are going to do to them. And that there isn't any Speed on the market now.

I personally don't use Facebook much. I don't hate it, but, seems like this type of format is more applicable to special-interest groups.

Thanks for your response.
