Hey guys,

22 month/~50k mile update

The factory long block replacement has been flawless. No oil use, perfect compression, no weirdness at all. The original motor already had low compression at 39k miles, so I'm beating that. The original owner must have just done a shitty job on break-in or tuning/modding shitty.

I settled on the Amsoil 5w30 signature series and have been running that for 10k miles. I do oil changes every 6k miles. Current tune tapers up to around 25-26psi, VD puts the tune at around 340whp/350wtq.

No complaints. I do wish I had a built motor sometimes so I can push the HP up, but the stock motor limits my mods which is a good thing for the car's reliability and my wallet.
thrisnospork and WetzMS3 like this.

35 month @ 80k mile update

Reaplacement still ticking, 0 issues whatsoever. The replacement has now surpassed the original @ 79k miles. Back to Pennzoil Platinum at 5,000 mile OCI; mostly a factor of oil price.

Still running ~350WHP 25psi tune with meth injection. This motor has had meth and 25psi tune since broken in. I mostly use it as a car now, not as much zoom-zoom as I used to although I'll stretch it's legs out occasionally.

Nice to see you chime in around here. Glad the motor and setup has been reliable. I hear you on the cost of the PP oil.

I'm about to install a DO Meth kit and plan to do as you have by placing the nozzle in the cold pipe pre-TB. Seems most use the TB spacer and inject afterwards.

However reading through your threads I see you had better results pre-TB. Just find it interesting more owners don't set it up the way you have.

I'm glad you found that. Ya, single nozzle pre TB is the most reliable way to go; fewer parts and good performance.

I've pretty much done all to my MS6 I wanted to. It's just a car now. Lol.

If I may share a secret: I really kind of want a Fiesta ST now.

Nice! I like the Fiesta ST. Which color?

The MS6 is getting old, but I still love mine...for now. I'm really liking the Kia Stinger. Wondering and waiting to see if the aftermarket will do anything with it.
