Default Mother fu&^ing son of a bitch ass idler pulley!!!

How on God's green earth am I supposed to fit my hands up in that little tiny ass area, fit a wrench over the bolt, and remove my idler pulley!?!?!

I literally spent the last hour and a half trying to figure out a way to get my hand up there, I contorted my body in ways in which it was not meant to be, busted open almost all of my knuckles, and nearly lit my car on fire in pure rage. But nope...i just get my hand up there!

For real though, how does one remove this pulley? Im guessing a long ass combo wrench??

Don't you remove the tire and wheel well then you have the room?

How about unbolt passenger motor mount and lower or raise the engine. Ofcourse support with a jack.

Not necessary to rock engine.

A long open ended 14mm(IIRC) will do the job.

That's right.

I was thinking about the tensioner when I typed it as well :p

I need to replace one or the other..still haven't determined which one is vibrating..but on a cold start with 88DM all over..you fucking hear it.

Mine blew up basically while I was driving, I heard something hit my CS skid plate, and I pulled over. It didn't look like anything was messed up at first i still had my serpentine belt intact. I drove like 100 feet, stopped looked again and the serpentine belt shredded itself right in front of me. I had a few friends bring me tools ETC and we got the new idler pulley installed on the side of the road. Sadly they had gotten the wrong sized belt and part stores were closed, we ended up flat towing it the a mile back to my house.
