Mystery rattle

I have a mystery rattle coming from the driver side (only side I can hear but could be right in the middle). I read previously that people replaced their axle nuts and noticed their subframe was loose. I did replace my axle nuts and boy what a difference; vibration on the highway is gone! But my subframe bolts were tight... My next thought was centercaps but it doesn't sound like that sort of noise. All the bolts seem tight but I'm not sure because I can't get underneath it. I have an appointment at the dealer next week and will describe it to them to see what they can find and will update here. Just wanted to check if anyone has solved a problem like this. Pretty sure its not the broken springs that someone else had... Just changed shocks to Konis about 5000 miles ago and they were still in one piece then.

Check the brake pads. Stick your hand in there and try to move them around. Mine were rattling and had to get new ones.

Wow thanks for the quick reply! I'll look into it, I know the pads have good life in them from what I saw through the crack but I haven't taken the caliper/pads apart.

Doesn't mean anything, could be the clips that are called anti rattle clips on the backs of the pads that are shaped like a bow. Check to see if they're still there lol. But definitely try to make them rattle and see if it is the same sound.

And you don't need to take the calipers apart or anything leave it all In there, reach through the wheel and do it.

I think I may have solved this. While looking around my engine bay I noticed this cover was loose covering the big connectors to the ecu. I took it off and drove around to spot where it always rattled and it was gone. Probably try some sticky rubber pad and see if that tightens it up.
