This thread makes me sad...
Do I have to go to Orlando to get reliable friendly service?
No places in Tampa?

Herzog Meier Mazda.

Portland, Oregon.

Have noted motor mounts, BPV, intake as visible mods in service notes.

Did notice note spark plugs or HPFP internals or straight pipe.

Cool with bringing in my own oil for change/inspection as long as 5-30

Recently brought the car in for smoking turbo with only TIP stocked out.

Uninstalled AP as I always do beforehand, though this and TIP change seemed to cause my smoking to cease. No longer re-produceable with spirited driving and 40 minute idle. Noticed day before appointment.

Dealer had car from 7-4 while investigating service bulletin, found nothing.
Shuttle picked me up and brought me back, I was disappointed. 1.5 mile on odo btw from them, they told me they tested for smoking twice.

They had already decided to waive any service fees since I've had oil changes and an insurance claim for radiator shroud damage done there.

Said to keep them updated if I notice any changes.

North Park Mazda
9333 San Pedro Ave.
San Antonio TX, 78216

I've had my K&N SRI, JBR RMM 88 duro, and my mud flaps installed there, all my oil changes 5w-30 full synthetic done there, when it's time for the tranny fluid they told me they will use the FoMoCo miracle juice no prob. Was told on the DL that they were cool with most bolt-ons but had issues with guys tuning wrong, blowing their engine, try to uninstall their AP's then bring it in and want a new engine under warranty, not gonna happen they say. Don't care what Cobb says they say they know when it's been tuned and untuned. I have an AP but I just use it for monitoring my live engine vitals. Wink, wink, I also leave my lights on a lot and need jumps, I'm such an airhead, or at least my dealership thinks so, I'm that big lovable guy that's always forgetting stuff. Anyways I haven't had one issue with warranty work at all, they fix whatever's not working and I sign some papers then I zoom-zoom outta there. Even the two techs I use drive speeds so I'm all good, love my NP Mazda!

Someone should really organize this list by state or something. It would be way easy to see which dealerships are good in your state.

Well new service manager isn't all there, Myles the master tech will look out for you if you request that he do the work on your car. Fully bolted engine with gt2871 with 12 warranty is what's under my hood. Also my be thinking about going to work there myself.

Default Great dealer

Ferman Mazda on Florida sold me my 08 Speed 3 in 2008 and have been great - very customer-friendly. They installed my CAI and have provided all service without a hitch. They are very personable and responsive to all my concerns. I've been dealing with them for over 15 years and have nothing but good things to say about them.

+1 for Town North Mazda in Richardson, TX. They convinced the Mazda reps to pay for my VVT actuator and timing chain replacement with all of my listed mods on the car and without oil receipts. Carey, you are the fucking man!!

4.5 stars on Yelp (very rare for a dealer, as far as I know)!

Bought my car there. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. Didn't feel that the salesperson was trying to trick me into anything. Even explained the engine break-in period to me and informed me that I should get an oil change between 500-1000 miles (I knew this, but was nice to hear the dealer be knowledgeable about it).

Sorry to bump an old thread but I think keeping up to date on dealers is important.

I'll vouch for Bob Moore in OKC. I'm in right now and while I don't have anything done yet, I talked to one of the service managers and he said most mods are no big deal. Was told they don't like ECU flashing, but as far as intake, rmm, or STS or shifter bushings go,among other mods, they're no big deal. If you throw a cai on and suck up water you're sol, but as long as your mod doesn't directly cause something to fail, they'll work your warranty claim.

One of the service managers currently owns a speed3 and other salesmen in the dealership have owned and modded in the past. Service manager I talked to was talking about mods he had planned for his speed and said he likes getting to feel out mods (ex. Shifter bushings) on customers cars to see if it's something he'd like to do on his.

Suburban Mazda of Sterling Heights
40331 Van Dyke Ave Sterling Heights, MI 48313
(586) 698-5200

Took my car in because the ac drain line was clogged and leaking all over passenger side. While I was there, asked Mark if they would be willing to do my VVT since I was getting stationed in MS and had no dealers close to base if i encountered a problem with it. I have 30k Miles and no signs of bad vvt. No problem at all. Great mazdaspeed tech too knows the cars very well.

Service dept is extremely well managed. I have had good luck

Called the guys at Troy asking the same thing and they sounded like they didnt want to be bothered and that it would cost me 150 to diagnose, and if they found a problem they would do the work on it. Even though the service tech at sterling heights had told me it would have to be done 3 months before.

Continental Mazda Volvo (Continental Motors Alaska)
4800 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, Alaska 99503

Had my VVT and Turbo replaced with barely any questions asked at 63k miles (had it done in July 17, with warranty ending on 30th lol). The mechanic Chad is the one who helped me out. He somehow spotted me and came out and instantly looked at my car. He also told me what to say, so he can get me a new vvt kit!

So I recommend to ask for Chad.

As for modifications, you can basically go in full bolt on, and no one really cares. However, sometimes I see people who run meth kits, have some trouble. But Chad knows his cars, and he will try his best to get you to pay little or nothing. He is -the first I have met- an honest mechanic.

They have always completed recalls and TSB repairs without hesitation and helped me out with prices on maintenance and repairs out of warranty.

When I had my rx8, I went in to have my eccentric shaft seal replaced. I looked up the job beforehand, and found that there was a TSB out that notified dealers of a new shop tool that cut the job down from about 12 hrs down to 2! When I brought it in they didn't argue, but said they never saw the TSB and would look into it. After about an hour he called me back and said he had the tool on order and would receive it the next morning. The next day they finished the job and said "thanks for informing us about the TSB, we have another person in for the same thing and we informed her about the new procedure and we saved her money"!

Maybe they should have known about the TSB, but they didn't immediately turn me down and checked into my claim. Not many dealers will actually listen to customers.

Parts department is awesome, Sunny has helped me out numerous times getting parts at better than list price. Their service department has been great so far as well. I worked with Tim to get my VVT work done. He saved all of the old parts for me, installed my JBR PMM for free while doing the VVT and so far so good on the VVT work itself. They had my car less time than Capitol Mazda had my car to do a fucking EGR valve.

Love this place. Seriously. They are very mod-friendly, they installed my ACT stg3 Clutch, lowering springs & my old Magnaflow exhaust. They warrantied my car w/ even though they know I was running a pro-tune, & never complained about anything. The best part, is they have their own Mazda race team.

Sales - top notch team; I went in there and said "24K OTD" they sold it to me for 23.9K OTD; no haggling, no hassling, no pressure - nothing. Easy as pie.

Went there a couple of times for programming of my "personalized" features and then for a TSB for drivers seat and both times their service manager, Brian, was absolutely awesome. On my second trip there, when they were executing the TSB on the seat, he was not sure of how long it would take so they just gave me a rental and told me to bring it back whenever (luckily they were done same day so it was pretty quick).

Excellent service overall!!!
I just wanted to say that currently, Fremont Mazda is a piece of shit. They lost one of my cars keys and so I didn't have a spare key for the longest time, until they finally decided to make me a new one. Also when I went in for them to check the rmm, they said everything checked out ("we checked all the mounts"). They also said the only thing that could be making some kind of noise was my cs intake, yeah right. When I actually did replace that rmm, it turned out to have a tear in the bushing. Fast forward to recently, and they wouldn't replace the right-side knuckle just because the car had coilovers on it. "I don't wanna get my techs into that." How stupid are your techs if that even makes a difference to them? Only Dublin Mazda has been of any help to me.

As for modifications, you can basically go in full bolt on and no one really cares. However, sometimes I see people who run meth kits have some trouble. But Chad knows his cars, and he will try his best to get you to pay little or nothing. He is -the first I have met- an honest mechanic.

4.5 stars on Yelp (very rare for a dealer as far as I know)! Seconded. Sarah was very professional. Even owns a speed 3 herself she said.

Siemens is my Mazda dealer... they are a tiny Mazda dealership in Southwest Michigan. However, they are a true diamond in the rough. WARNING: Given their size, they are NOT a Speed dealer so warranty work is not covered. However, if you're out of warranty... they are VERY mod friendly. They've put a number of parts on my car with great enthusiasm. I've also have never felt like I've been overcharged. Their Service Manager Ron is great at getting me in... sometimes the same day I call. Their master service technician, Dave is a Mazda national award winner multiple times over. He's bright, a perfectionist and fast. I can't say enough about Dave. So if you're in the area check them out...

I have had good luck, Called the guys at Troy asking the same thing and they sounded like they didnt want to be bothered and that it would cost me 150 to diagnose, and if they found a problem they would do the work on it. Even though the service tech at sterling heights had told me it would have to be done 3 months before.

I actually had shaft play in my turbo. I'm pretty sure he knew that I used to have an intake and race pipe, but he I replaced them before taking them in. The morning after I took the car in, they told they would replace it. They got the turbo in on a Monday (3 days after they said they would fix it) and had it done that afternoon. So 5 days to replace a turbo! Great turn around and they didn't really mind the catback, rear motor mount and other minor mods I had.

They are also S-plan friendly another dealership in OK (that had the blue MS3 I wanted) wanted nothing to do with me or the S-plan pricing, but it's ok I got their car anyway.

Heavily involved in the local enthusiast community, also the facilities of the dealership are by far the best I've seen from a Mazda Dealership. Mazda of Wesley Chapel
26944 Wesley Chapel Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544

Took car in for alignment issues, rim issue, door lock problem, mirror cover replacement

Car had full intake, downpipe, tip, rmm

Guys never once gave me any issues on anything. They actually detailed my car for free once inside and out. Great people. Replaced any faulty things under warranty. They told me they did not think my mirror covers would get replaced (15k miles paint chipped mostly off) but that they would try and they contacted corporate mazda and got it approved.

Ask for Sarah. She has owned multiple modified Speed3's and is super easy to talk to. She clearly cared about the well being of my '09 Speed3. I've really only had basic maintenance performed, but she was aware of all my bolt-ons and would rather discuss them then argue about having them. Also has packaged deals and given me coupons/ discounts when possible. Overall great service and I use them whenever I'm not doing the work myself.

Thanks for this thread and putting the "state" list together. Seems like if one is on a road trip and in need of service away from home, that this should come in handy.
Now if I can find in this forum some good tuning/custom shops to start putting a couple extras on the ride.

I`ll put a good word in for:

Freeway Mazda
Surrey BC Canada

They`ve done the majority of work on my car, from all the mounts in my sig with a good mention to sticking to a four hr quote on my diff brace and mount when it was closer to a 9hr job, and generally overall, do good work. I think I`ve only had to go back once for when I had an oil change and they put non synthetic in since thats the default apparently and I had no notes in my file and they still did that no charge on the fly once I got back there.

Also, Steve in the parts dept used to rebuild turbo`s and is a good guy to randomly email.
