Default OTS AP tune with catless DP?

Will an OTS Stage 2 tune work fine with an catless DP? I just dont want to have a CEL on.

with a downpipe always get a custom tune.

you can disable the cel in ATR, google msf search for the correct codes to uncheck =)

Don't most downpipes have the extra o2 bung further back to avoid the CEL?

I have a m2 downpipe and never got a check engine light. I did overboost with the stage 2 ots. I believe it targets 17.5 lbs and I was getting 19.5. I contacted tuner and he gave me a base map until I got fully tuned.

yes that map will be fine to begin with. but you will need to get a custom tune as the OTS maps are just baselines and should be more customized to your setup. @RichieRichness refer to him or one of the other e-tune guru's on here

CEL's are just a fact of life once you start modding. We can't promise that you won't get a CEL from a DP however, AS @ms3rick said, just turn the CEL off in ATR. Or get a tune and your tuner will work through this.

turning off the cel in atr doesn't make the cel magically disappear. it just keeps our light from turning on. It's still being set off as far as the ecu can read. most emission tests will allow 1 fail of 3. I always let my DP one go because fuck laying on my back to change it out. The other two, egr and evap, should be fine to pass. having said that part; please search the forums. This question has been asked multiple times and the answer has yet to change.

hey asshole, fucking search the god damn forums harder. if you think you searched and couldn't find an answer, you didn't fucking search enough threads. downpipe questions are as common as fucking bpv questions and sri questions. seeing these threads every 2 days is getting old really god damn fast.

I run some anti-foulers on my 2nd O2 sensor with the M2 catless pipe and have no CEL.

Gen1 you can run the anti-foulers but Gen2 you will get a CEL for the second O2. I've had my catless CNT DP for about a month and no CEL for not having cats.

You have a gen1 ms6, i doubt you will pull a cel. If you do, reset it with the AP and if it comes on then go to a muffler shop and get a longer bung made for you 02 sensor. Worked for others

This question has been answered many times in the five years since this thread was last updated.

Try searching a little more.

You also need HPFP internals to safely use an aftermarket downpipe without risking blowing your motor.

My concern is I have all of that but the only thing different that I have is a catleas down pipe. Cobb said I might to damage if I don't add a cat

before anything check and get HPFP. Youd be best off getting a pro tune... an ots+ tune thru Freektune is only around 100$. other tuners have them too.
Start researching more, contact a e tuner and do it right before you blow it up.
