Default Quick question

So I am taking my car to the dealership for the second oil change. My question is will they mark anything down for having aftermarket mods or will they care?

They are going to see aftermarket BPV,SRI, and RMM although it is painted black and shouldn't stand out.

I just want to make sure it isn't held against me for just an oil change.

Thanks as always.

depends on your dealer. mine doesn't care about my cai and rmm but the service guy keeps telling me a bpv is bad and on the top of their no-no list. If they're doing an oil change, from my understanding, they don't do a mod-check for warranty purposes. However, if you blow your motor, you better stock out before going to your dealer. Then if they ask you can just tell them the motor blew completely stock.

Right I get that I would stock out before warranty work was to be done for sure.

I am wondering if they are going to black flag me though for my mods for just being there for an oil change? I would think mods aren't their business at that moment in time because I am there for oil and nothing more.

Meh is it just best to take it to a Jiffy Lube? I know Mazda likes to see receipts if shit goes sideways and warranty work is needed.

Dealers aren't the one that pay for warranty work, Mazda pays them out of their warranty budget. The dealer is a business just trying to make money. They want to change your oil. Why would they eff your couch if you're giving them business?

That's the way I see it. You can always call about "your friends" car.

I don't feel like trying to create receipts if my engine blows and they ask to see oil change receipts. I have always changed my oil in my old cars but this is different. The Mazda Nazis are crazy about oil receipts from everything I have read on this forum and others.

i save my oil / filter receipts and stuff them and the old filter in the filter box. i write the mileage and date on the filter box. i take a picture of the filter box w/ my odometer.

it just seems easier to do a little documentaion rather than hoping the dealer looks the other way on my mods.

I wasn't sure the first time I went in either. They didn't say anything to me and I've heard my dealer is not mod friendly.
