(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hi guys, so I have been experiencing rich running and random misfires. Running a 3" white widow cat back exhaust, and a cork sport race pipe. The race pipe being the issue causing the fuel pressure to drop. So on the Facebook mazdaspeed6 forum, I have been told if I don't get those two things, the engine will destroy itself. My dad is telling me no I don't need to, but I'll give him the told you so when my motor explodes... I have no way of tuning the car, so I need a versa tuner or cobb access port... And the autotech hpfp... This the pump? https://edgeautosport.com/autotech-h...-2-0t-engines/ Kinda funny doesn't look like the kinda fuel pumps I've seen lol. This car isn't exactly in awesome shape (lipstick on a pig it feels like) Which versa tuner or cobb should I get? I know I need the HPFP Thanks -Spence |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have not used Versa Tuner. But I have used Cobb AP V3 for the past 5 years and no complaints. I got it because I did not want to install a whole bunch of gauges, I could monitor all the parameters I wanted, and I could use an E-tuner for all my tuning. But a lot of people here love Versa Tuner as well. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you ever plan on moving past basic bolt on mods or if you feel like supporting a smaller buisness still actively supporting our platform go with Versatune. Currently Cobb is just milking this platform for whatever money they can make, there has been no real development in years.. Just forced obsolescence to make more cash from past customers..

| Not Ranked : 0 score Sourcing a stock down pipe would perhaps mitigate your issues. May be cheaper/easier than the tuning route if you dont plan on doing anything else mod wise. If you do, I would err on the side of F Cobb. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score We just gave you a bunch of data points to help make your decision. We can't make the decision for you. To add the the mix. You could always go with a hypertuner instead. Would only go that route if you knew 110% for certain you don't plan on doing anything more than HPFP, intake, and exhaust on your speed for the rest of the car's life, as, hypertuner can't tune extreme mods and would be a waste of money if you had intentions to go much further than that, but, infinitely cheaper if this is as far as you'll ever go.

My plan is to get the tune safe so I don't blow up my engine and stop the misfiring under heavy acceleration. The hypertech for the mazdas/fords is almost as much as the COBB tuner, so it may make sense to get the cobb apv3... On top of that I'm getting a hpfp from either corksport or autotech | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just go used. Join a few of the local Nator groups and stalk their facebook groups for deals. We had one guy selling an AT HPFP internalls for $100 with only 12,000 miles on it. And another guy selling his hypertech for $150. You can go the cheap, but also safe route, or, you can just blow a lot of money needlessly.
