I'm waiting until 2018, and then very seriously looking at getting rid of the MS3, getting a Tesla Model 3 as a daily, and a 2g dsm (97-98 talon/97-99 eclipse) throwing a 1g engine and rear in it, and making that the toy I play with.

MS3 is a cheap econobox. Few people care about power and how fast a car is. To be honest I enjoy MS3 but in my daily I'm looking for comfort, tech, safety and fuel efficiency. I don't give a crap about power......but then again when I was 20 I had the same mindset as you do now.

| Not Ranked : 0 score 2016 Fiesta ST, got it in brand new in February. Not as fast but I did one AutoX event and I'm hooked. The events are right up the road from where I live (~10 min) so I really don't have a reason to not go. Handles miles better than the Speed out of the box and you really do feel the 500lb weight difference. It's way too much fun. However, I do miss the torque steer. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Still have my '08 MS3 and love it. I am its original owner. Still drive it regularly as my rip roaring fun car. I recently bought a new '17 Audi Q5 3.0T SUV. That is the 277 hp supercharged V6. The itch to mod is ready there. I purchased a tuning program for at home reflash of the ECU with stock, 91 and 93 octane maps. Its from European Performance Lab (EPL), a US tuner somewhat like Cobb. Their Stage 1 93 octane tune is 345-355 hp. Its pretty quick for a 4400 lb. SUV. Its already quicker than my MS3 was stock, but behind it as currently modded. A stage 2 tune uses a smaller supercharger pulley or larger crank pulley to spin the blower faster. I'll make that jump soon. Mid 13's now on 93 octane map, otherwise stock. Fantastic launch. All wheel drive, like MS6. Even factory tune has launch control. Stage 2 Q5s drop into the 12s. On the lighter S4 platform this engine in stage 2 dual pulley, runs mid 11s at 125 with ethanol blend or race gas tunes (yes, they have those maps and can develop custom tunes for dual pulley set ups). No internal mods needed. Eventually you need additional cooling capacity if running dual pulley tunes. Amazing response to tuning for a stock engine. I look to see someone get a tuned S4 with larger capacity charge cooling into the 10s on a stock block and intake, with higher flow exhaust (bigger downpipes and x pipe crossover) and upgraded fueling. The stock block internals and the ZF 8 speed auto can handle the power. I'll be happy to get it to mid 12s. Its not a racecar. Its a conservative, well-appointed SUV that responds well to tuning. Who says you outgrow the need for speed? I'm 67 years old.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't see myself ever moving on from my MS3, unless it completely shits the bed and I don't have the money to rebuild it. Honestly I've always wanted an RX8 (like since I was 13) and I only went with the speed due to better fuel economy (my other vehicle is a truck). Might still add an RX8 in the future, but I will drive the speed til it dies. Sent from my pocket computer that has more raw processing power than the space shuttle. But it took people to space... |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Traded the 6 in on a 2013 wrx. I am terribly disappointed. Even modded and protuned it's slow. Handling sucks, brakes suck, trans sucks and is weak, AWD is useless due to open diffs(wheelspin). Stereo is also garbage. Online community is weak. I may be happier with an STI, but I can't afford a decent one. It does, however, run good every day and I don't have an ever growing list of work I need to do to it to keep it going. Parts are easy to find as well. I knew the 6 would get the best of me one day. I just didn't realize how much I'd miss it.
