WI bung, done the correct way!

Alright guys we had a few complain so we decided to do this the right way.

Here you go.

These are going to be much more sturdy and will keep the nozzle angle near zero for the install.

These are not going to be cheap nor are they easy to build (tig welding to the sprung steel cups that are zink coates sucks). I have 100 getting done now and I am going to release these for all our WI customers (free if you bought a WI kit from us) and if you want to buy one, $32.50 + shipping.

Hal, I oue you one if you want to give it another shot. Let me know.

Let me know what you guys think and yes its a bit off center and we are trying to address that, the cups try to kick out of the drill press so we are having to do these by hand right now. When we get the first batch of bungs done they will be more on center, but not like this would make that much of a difference.

John, what kind of nozzle is that you got suck in there? It has more threads then what ships with the Labonte and Devil's nozzles.

I do like the look of that man, I was thinking of trying to do something similar but like you said it would be tedious. I would love to be able to get one of these when they are ready for market.

We have the how to up in the sticky under the WI everything thread. Yes you can do these in the car and it only takes 15 minutes.

That is line fitting but we only screwed it in 3 or 4 threads so it should be very similar to the nozzle depth.

We never could get consistancy out of them and more then 2 nozzle swaps ended bad for the plug and you had to install another one. This one will last a life time.

Should be Friday, I am just waiting on them to arrive from the machinist. When thats done we will be moving on with getting them drilled and welded up. Friday, and people should start seeing tracking numbers.

Tomorrow, we had to get a different drill bit (custom unit) or we would have had to had fit every unit. Sorry not about to go through and grind every unit to fit.

I'd like a video just like the one you already made, but from a top-down perspective that shows all 8 intake runners (and the mist coming out of them) in a row across the width or height of the picture.

For example, with the IM mounted as in the video, rotate the camera 90 degrees about the vertical axis for a top-down view. Alternatively, rotate the IM 90 degrees about that same axis and keep the camera in the same place. You'll probably have to move your light source, too.

Just so there's no ambiguity, this is the vertical axis I'm talking about:

I did that and you cannot see the mist coming out of the runners. I really wanted to get a good angle like that but the mist and many different light locations didn't show the results. What I needed was a light directly inside the runner to show the results from each runner.

I will see what I can get done here in the next few weeks since the car is now down. We are going to start in on our 4 nozzle set up in the coming weeks. This will be a turn around set up that puts all 4 nozzles in the runners of the manfiold. Should be the best set up to run.

Could you try setting up some additional lamps--see if that illuminates the mist enough that it'll show up on camera? And really, just a photo would work.. maybe try a long exposure?

I will see what I can get done here in the next few weeks. To be honest with you, it better then any other single nozzle location you could come up with.

Yes, we drill the hole and then tig weld the bung to the expansion plug.

No, the expansion plug replaces the one currently in your intake manifold. Direct swap. Pop the existing expansion plug out and press this one in.
