Overheating and heater issues
 
My 2008 Mazda 6 heater won't work and the car temp is going through the roof. Someone help please.

Your thermostat is stuck shut, you will need a new one, also make sure your car has coolant in it.

Btw a simple google search would have answered your question much quicker.

Most probably no coolant.
With the thermostat stuck shut there's plenty of cabin heating because the heater is using the same coolant at the engine. Actually turning the cabin heat all the way up is one way of cooling the engine when the thermostat is stuck shut. Of course, assuming that the heat control works in the center console... because it may be that as well.

On the other hand @diztunde, did you phoken notice where you did phoken post? Wotta phock your (over)heating problem has to do with aftermarket performance parts supplied by ETS?

He's also posting about a regular 6 and not a speed. More than likely his water pump is shot, hence no circulating of coolant. He posted on the wrong section, posted about a wrong car, and was generally a twat who won't be back. This is why we can't have nice things.
