My SURE 3" MAF has a 3.5" filter. I'd assume the stock sized MAF would be a smaller filter, so 3" is a good guess.

This is tangentially related to bolt-ons: installation of many bolt-ons involves disconnecting the battery. Anyone know if this resets the "personalization options" (auto door lock, turn signal 3x flash, auto headlight setting, etc...) that have to be set at the dealer? I'm wondering if the customization options are persistent after a battery disconnect. I searched but wasn't able to find relevant information.

I currently live in sc where summers are pretty warm and I'm running 25% E85 with a tune from stratified. My question is after doing some reading it seems that the best combo is an upgraded tmic with meth vs a fmic alone do you agree and would it matter that I use e85 and meth?

I run a stock tmic with meth. if you're on a stock ko4 i wouldn't worry about it. if you wanna blow money, go tmic unless you have plans for a big turbo. It'll give you plenty of breathing space especially if you're using meth and e.

Imo skip it (ic upgrade) all together if you run E.

Its been proven on the dyno that on a ko4 car with e or meth, that a tmic/ex mani/intake mani makes very little difference in power when compared to a car with basic mods (tune, dp, intake, ect).

I can link the thread w/ the dyno charts if you are interested.

Yea if you could that would be great, I've always read the stock top mount was really restrictive as far air flow so I figured at least an upgraded top mount would help. I do plan on going BT much later on unless the K04 takes a shit before then in either case I plan on keeping it simple and going with a BNR S3

I could have gone with the usual response of "search lazy motherfucker" but I didn't. I know it's been covered before in other threads, but since this is something I run myself, I thought I'd impart some info. I try to not be a cunt all the time. wondering if shouldn't have been one of those times. save your money and spend it elsewhere though. I'd toss on a nice 3 inch intake for sure before spending the cash on a tmic.
