Default Full Race EFR Turbo Kits! Less than $4k??

As a lot of you have seen, Full Race makes one heck of a turbo kit featuring the EFR6258, the EFR6758 and now available, the EFR7163. These are high flowing, quick spooling turbos that will turn your mazdaspeed machine into a monster!

The ultimate bolt-on turbo kit for your Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 is right here and waiting. Full Race leaves nothing to chance when developing their turbo kits and it shows. With unmatched, precision TIG welding on all exhaust parts, the reliability problems with this turbo kit are next to non-existent in addition to being the highlight of the engine bay when people are checking out what's under your hood. On top of that, Full Race has designed the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 turbo kit around the latest in turbocharger technology with the Borg Warner EFR series 6258 or 6758, your choice. A T25 flange will help spool this quick spooling, high flowing turbo unlike any other turbocharger comparable to it's size and flow. You can be sure to have one of the best performing Mazdaspeed 3's or 6's on the streets with this unparalleled turbo kit from Full Race Motorsports.

Included in the Mazdaspeed 3 turbo kit from Full Race is the exhaust manifold, downpipe, turbocharger, and all lines and hardware necessary to install this kit on a Mazdaspeed 3 or 6.

Need help deciding which EFR turbo to choose? Call us (303-268-2140), we'll be glad to help!

The Borg Warner EFR 6758 turbocharger flows 52lb/min which means it is capable of over 500 brake horsepower with the right supporting modifications. The 6258 variant is capable of 44lb/min, translating into around 440 brake horsepower. Depending on your goal, there is not a better turbo available for any given platform right now. It features a built-in bypass valve (or you can block it off and keep your bypass valve you currently have) and an internal wastegate, just like the factory turbo, making it easier to run this setup right out of the box. And then of course there is the EFR 7163. At 60lbs/min you will not be hurting for air flow and it will still spool faster than a 3076.

This kit is close to stock location but has not been confirmed to fit with other intercoolers and intakes. However, the Full Race Intake/intercooler is available should you decide to go that route.

Full Race EFR Turbo Kit MS3 - $3950
Full Race EFR Turbo Kit MS6 - $4100

Has anyone started running these? I'm curious about the quality and installation.

Yes I am; they are a hell of a turbo that I highly recommend, but...You should read my thread to see what I had to go through to get the fucking thing installed.

This is what 21 PSI with E29 fuel and 50/50 WMI (to help the CPE TMIC) looks like:

Shit is beast.

Just a 3" vband for the downpipe connection. The Full-Race downpipe is 2 piece which makes fucking around with the O2 sensor or downpipe connections a breeze.

I think a nice setup would be a cpe mani and one of those tial hot sides whenever they get released. I know Tomas told me the turbo's flow like a champ but he had to get the high boost wastegate so it wouldn't spike. I wonder how much better an EWG would play with these turbo's?

If you're using anything but the EFR hotside, you're not doing this right. The IWG is boss beyond words; I'm using the midboost WGA, which sees a spike of 11 PSI @ 0% WGDC and tapers to 9 PSI up top; I'm also making ~22 PSI on the same canister right now.

The only problem I have with the EFR IWG setup is if your boost comes on too strong, it doesn't dial back without aggressive drop in WGDC; If you spike to 20 PSI, it will just carry that boost all the way out unless your WGDC comp is (too) aggressive.

Ultimately, it's so minor of a niggle it's hardly worth mentioning.

Also, if you've seen any of my vdynos, you'll see how smooth the boost control is.

Has Full-Race addressed any of the issues to make the "kit" install smoother?

Where did you find them for sale?

All I've been able to find is just "general news" that TiAL was going to produce them, but nothing recent about a release date, prices, or even options.

Pictures of the MS6 oil return line or there is no way any MS6 owner should buy that kit. I emailed FullRace about this line but got the generic "let me check with production and get back to you" answer and the line of communication went silent.

Still don't understand why anyone would use one of their hotsides aside from wanting a different AR...which shouldn't really matter anyways.

And? Everything up to the 7163 is fine with a T25 flange. You don't need a t4 twin scroll mani for a 6758 man; none of the bigger turbos have an off the shelf manifold option for them, but are either t3 or t4 flanged by default anyways. Shit, I'm making close to 400 WHP with room on the map @ 21-22 PSI on a 10 psi spring on my 6758; show me a BNR or GT?28 making that kind of power at 3k foot with that much boost.

So it's more between a GT3071R and a GTX3071r as far as wheel size goes (except the exducer is smaller than any Garret wheel). Despite that, it's not really that much larger.

EFR6758
Inducer: 53.9 mm
Exducer: 67 mm

GT2871R
Inducer: 51.2 mm
Exducer: 71 mm

GT3071R
Inducer: 53.1 mm
Exducer: 71 mm

GTX3071R
Inducer: 54.1 mm
Exducer: 71.4 mm

Any GT/GTX 30s making 400 on 21/22 PSI?

Enough to require copious amounts of supplemental fueling. It's a 60 pound turbo on the map, which should be enough for between 500 and 600 horse, efficiently. You could always go off the map too, like pretty much everyone does with the K04s.

@EdgeAutosport.com; Does this kit come with the 3.5" intake or is that separate?

Yes what all comes in this kit. Cause they appear to be cheaper directly from full race. So my assumption is this is everything

Intake
Fmic
Downpipe
Turbo
manifold

Only reason I ask, because the link in the op doesn't list it in the monthly special to me. If you click on the regular link on their sight, it lists the intake kit as part of it.

@Enki;

Not sure if this is worth asking on your efr thread or not, but I figured anyone looking at this kit may be interested as well.

Are you using the BCS that came with the turbo? If so how do you like it compared to the oem?

Yes I am, works just fine with everything, and it's right there. Only recommendation I have is to connect the boost reference to the intake manifold if you're going to run a small spring like me; if running a higher spring you'll get slightly better spool than the lower spring unless you make that switch.

I'm not sure this applies to the 7163 though, as that turbo possibly spools a little better than the 6758.

These are the reduced kits that don't come with the FMIC or the Intake. Both can be added at additional cost. We pieced these together for guys who already have an intake or FMIC that they would rather make work over buying them again.

It's worth noting that the intake and FMIC are only available for the 6 and pu, if memory serves (unless this has changed recently).

I would need the entire kit is why I was asking. Just wanted to make sure pricing was what I thought it might be.

Am I the only person who thinks that these EFR "kits" are rated much too high...?
Comparing to any (comparable) GT-kit their price is almost twice as high, and even if the EFRs are top-notch, best(?) flowing turbos, in my opinion this price difference is kind of crazy!

You should compare price of a turbo kit part for part. I don't think it's actually *THAT* much higher.

Soon...

I contacted TiAl a few months ago and they gave up on the idea of v-band hotsides for these; however full race is selling them!

Would your company with all its glorious capabilities have access to these magnificent efr turbo's with a unicorn vband hotside?
