Default Missing options on UR Turboback Exhaust

So I'm kind of a newbie to exhaust set ups, but I just wanted to let any fellow newbies know in the future who might be looking at the turboback exhaust set ups, edgeautosport is missing a semi-important option from their list: gaskets.

The UR turboback exhaust (Ultimate Racing TurboBack Exhaust Mazdaspeed 3 MS3 2010+) comes with the CBE in 4 pieces, but no gaskets to prevent leaks from occuring at any of the joints, which I thought was a bit odd. I checked the UR website, and the catback exhaust (Ultimate-Racing—::—Mazda—::—Mazdaspeed3 ('10+)—::—Exhaust—::—Mazdaspeed3 ('10+) Catback Exhaust) includes an option for a Gasket Set, which would have been quite useful to have at the install.

Hopefully Edge will add this option in the future!

Call up JP @ Edge. I'm sure they can work it out with you to get the gaskets.

it really isn't edges fault. i ordered my TBE exhaust from them and got all the gaskets and everything. when you order the UR TBE from Edge all they do is pass the order to UR and it goes to you from UR so if your missing the gaskets that means someone at UR forgot to pack them. but still go through edge to solve the matter. @JP@edgeautosport.com;

Seriously, just call up Edge and they will definitely help you get the gaskets. They are quite a helpful group over there!

Thanks for the call yesterday!

UR included the gaskets for us so we don't have an option on our site to add them. We are sorry they were not included in your order but UR is taking care of it. If you ever need anything, feel free to give us a call or send me a PM and I'll be happy to get you taken care of!

I just installed the gaskets and the tops and bottoms of the flanges are still pretty leaky...anyone else have these issues with UR catback exhausts?

Can't tighten em anymore with wrenches. The gasket sides are super tight but the tops and bottoms look like theyre not pressed together any tighter than when they were first put between the flanges.

Do you think you could get a couple pictures so we can better understand?

You can actually over tighten the flanges and make leaks. I just installed my UR I bought from Edge (still ships from UR in Canada) minus downpipe because I didn't have time to finish it. 0 issues or leaks first shot. There is a smell of the oils burning off that goes away but that is NOT an exhaust leak. All I did was alternate back and forth on the flange bolts to tighten them evenly until hand snug, then torque to 25 ft/lbs. Only used the provided gaskets. The only one I didn't torque was the one in the back that connects the mid pipe to axleback section because I didn't have any combination of fittings that would allow me to use a torque wrench so I just went close enough with an open ended wrench.
