(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Since they are prototype versions I have to check if they are going to include those on this run but I find out asap. When we put a full race one on the shop car we had to go buy all new fittings anyways because the ones supplied with the kit were too big for our application |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So what these things help is consolidate all the vacuum lines you have and t fittings that run all over the place that could cause either leaks or in some instances different pressure because of the size of the vacuum lines The blocks help make sure the bov, wastegate, boost gauge and the other vacuum lines you run to it see the same amount of pressure. Ultimately they clean up the engine bay and help with consistency of what your hard parts see. Depending on peoples current configuration this could potentially help you with better spool and over all better operation for the hard parts this is hooked up with. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i'm going to put my ignorance on display for the benefit of others, so... why do these vacuum blocks have so many ports. what the hell could you hook up that needs so many? boost gauge BPV wastegate boost controller would you have it to both your stock wastegate and, say, a GS controller? or would you do just one or the other? is that it?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score You also need them say you have a boost a tap, or the port of the IM. Also if you run dual wastegates this really helps. Also yeah I would have it to the stock iwg and GS also. |

boost source needs to be closer to turbo ??? im sure it might work hookedmup to IM but from what i understand its dangerous or wont work as well. fyi I do want a vacuum block i was looking into one, i wish i could run wastegate and boost controller and everything off of one block but your not supposed to do it that way, i want one for my BOV, Boost a spark sensor, boost gauge pic attached. EDIT: so final word is it does not come with fittings right ? | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score its all over the isntructions with the boost controllers themselves, turbosmart says it in thier instructions, and thats why turbos have the flat spot on the snail itself to add a boost fitting. and my fabricator said so, there are many places that say it. the fitting being on turbo or IC pipe after turbo is different than after the TB. when TB closes the wg and boost controllers wont see accurate info. I am sure you can make it work off of IM connection and fuck if it was proper it would look really cool because I could then use all the ports on the vacuum block and it would look nice. but I dont even have a boost controller, i make life easy and just run 25 psi spring =) EDIT: I never said Not supposed to be on a block !!!! i said the boost source should not be off IM now i know some SSQV use vacuum line from IM to control it but thats a BOV tapping WG. not the WG's source of boost ! EDIT2: just look at @superskaterxes; setup hes EXACTLY like mine he tapped IC right after turbo for the WG/Boost controller connection Thinking of changing my PCV system setup its right there in the pics.... I just dont want people to hook EVERYTHING to this block and have overboosting issues or some shit because the sources are coming from the wrong place in a wrong setup. i do NOT know what the negative effects are i simply hooked mine up as directions stated in the first place. if you really want it on a "block" you will need two blocks one for IM side and bov and boost gauge and shit other block strictly WG/boost control |

I guess I'll be running ECBS and WG off their own setup. And then my BPV, IM and boost gauge off the block..

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Not a problem at all. It is always recommended that the boost source is the closest it can be to the turbo, if not, actually on the compressor housing but you can still tap into any part of the intake post-turbo. The difference ends up being that the closer the tap is to the turbo, you get quicker response and it's more accurate to the actual boost the TURBO is creating. When it's tapped in the manifold, you're tuning based more on what the engine is seeing and the turbo is actually working harder than the boost reading would suggest. We have our car tapped into the manifold. |
